This is a must for crazy campers like me. We used it to zip-line. I am not responsible for anyone who hurts and/or kills themselves from me saying that. It's fun, but should be left to people who know what they're doing (and have health insurance).

I've also used it to scale steep hillsides with trees. It's so fun and since it comes with rope, it's a complete package of fun.

Hook is weak at the point it attaches to center pole. It will bend under pressure. How much pressure? I have no way to test the pressure. Probably about 200 pounds. You can easily straighten it out with a vise and some strong, long pliers. But that probably makes it weaker after a few bends.

The hook looks good but all in all is made of week metal and bends rather easy. I bought the hook to pull tree limbs "that have broken off" down from trees.

Would not trust my life with it. Broke the first time used. Bolt appears to be a "pot metal" and snapped.

The grappling hook arrived very fast and in perfect condition... I could never have told it was used.
I plan to use the hook to snag brush (in the forest) and drag the brush out with an ATV. I am very happy with this product and the seller.

I use this when trimming trees. I throw it up in a fork of the tree and either tie it off or have a few people pull. Saved a few fences and gutters by using it. As stated in a prevoius review it will bend. Mine bent on the threads and will probably not be able to be collapsed again. Also the Nut at the top Will rust. Overall pretty effective.

The rope is unclimbable. unless u own some kind of gloves that have SPIKES on em or something, this rope slips out of your hands, even if ur wearing grip gloves, as if it where smeared in butter. durable, though.

i was suprised but this acrtually is a sturdy and well made grappling hook that works, i got it for fun but im shure it would last a long time

came fast and fun to play with wish it locked a bit better but it folding so yeah didnt really trust the rope that came with it tied nots in it to use for clibing use the rope in a pinch other then that i use my 150ft caving rope with it for raplleing and such when i want an extra ancor to be safe great fun product
