Paying extra for a limited edition is cool but no when the only difference is the damn logo is yellow instead of blue or red.....lame album and total waste of coin.

A great album! Much better than their last effort. The title track is by far the best track on the album. I just wish they would give it more airtime. But do not take away from the rest of the tracks: They are great also. The band seems to have finally gotten back to their earlier blues-influenced sound.

Fifteen solid blistering tracks of just what all true long-time AC/DC fans will most likely eat up. I know I did. I care not what the disgrunted fans, the paid music critics, the nay-sayers might comment about 'Black Ice' - they're all wrong and I'm right. 'Black Ice' is a darn fine CD title from Angus Young and crew. I've thought about it and for the record, my all-time AC/DC favorite titles are 'Let There Be Rock', 'Powerage', 'Black In Black' and 'Fly On The Wall'. With that being said, I will most certainly keep my copy of 'Black Ice' in my -current rotation- stack for sometime to come. As for the tracks, simply couldn't get enough of the CD's single "Rock And Roll Train", the total *ss-kicking "Big Jack", "War Machine" (really liked hearing this song performed live on their current tour), the snazzy "She likes Rock 'N Roll", "Rocking All The Way" and the title cut "Black Ice". Nice to know that one can purchase this CD for no more than $12 at any area Wal-Mart. Nice move.

Its all AC/DC no surprises like Black Ice is on the road. While not their best album it is not a disappointment either.

One unoriginal album, three unoriginal covers!,

This along with their Wallmarket promotion strategy shows you the wonders that marketing to intellectual adolescents can achieve.
It took them eight years to just bring us some more unoriginality and childish cliches. These guys suck in their music and attitude. If you had more people like Angus, their kind of music would never have been invented. Angus would be going, 'rock? Who needs that? Check out this cool banjo solo!' *duck walks* In terms of sheer mindlessness ACDC and Miley Cyrus are in the same boat. Whoa!! How rock n' roll can you get? |
