A GREAT VALUE!!!!, February 17, 2006
This review is from: Red/Black Jeep Wrangler Twin Umbrella Stroller (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller today out of desperation. (I was shopping out of town, and my 3yr old was feeling sick and didn't want to walk anymore)
I figured for $80 I didn't care how bad it was.... BUT it's NOT bad at all! In fact, it's pretty darn good!
Some of the features I like:
- Indivually reclining seats. (It says there are two positions, but you can actually do 3) My 4 month old had no problem sitting up in the upright position and the reclining position was great for napping.
- I LOVE that they used an actually clipping mechanism for the reclining positions and not the zip cords like so many stroller company's use now (Even the pricey strollers) ... You can never get an actual upright position with the zip cords!
- Middle handle bar (like the older Maclarens) makes it so much easier to push.
- Parent Cup Holder (A bit small, but not smaller than my cup holder on my Peg Perego P3)
- Toy holders on each side. (One for my 3yr olds toys and the other for my daughters binkies and rattles)
- Easy to steer and cleared every doorway I encountered
- Soft Seat Padding, w/ roll up backrest. (Rolled up makes a great pillow for napping toddlers)
- Nice color scheme
- SO SO SO Compact!!! I can't stress that enough! Easy to fold too!
- I also like the open concept, with NO child trays..Just one more thing for my 3 yr old to climb on!
Some things to keep in perspective:
- Some have complained that the hoods don't close properly, while I agree, the Maclarens have the SAME problems.. I think it's just a fault of the duo umbrella strollers! If you unsnap each side before folding (Leaving the middle snap in place) you won't have any problems.
- Some have complained that there are no shopping baskets beneath the seats... BUT if there were they would be almost impossible to access. (My Maclaren baskets were impossible, and the Peg Aria basket drags on the floor sometimes) PLUS you can use the middle handle of the stroller as a bag hook!
All in All, I am totally satisfied with my purchase! I can't believe I hadn't tried this before! I could have saved myself SO much money!

nice umbrella stroller, March 25, 2005
This review is from: Red/Black Jeep Wrangler Twin Umbrella Stroller (Baby Product)
We have a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 month old and we wanted a double stroller without the extravagant expense. We chose this one because it is convenient to travel with due to its size and weight. It reclines enough that even my 4 month old can lay comfortably. I love the fully movable, adjustable canopy; it comes in handy to keep the sun out of my baby's eyes or to block the wind if necessary (with a blanket for added protection on serious windy days). The back lining also rolls up into a pillow and reveals a mesh backing. This is a great feature for warm days since the regular material is not breathable. Definitely worth the expense if you are tired of chasing your older child around the stores!

It serves it's purpose!, March 14, 2006
This review is from: Red/Black Jeep Wrangler Twin Umbrella Stroller (Baby Product)
After my 3 year old started preschool, I had to take my twin boys 13 mos in/out of the school with me 2x/day. Boy! I immediately got this online because my back was killing me with the constant heaviness of my 'bigger' double stroller. This one is light, and serves it's purpose. We take this one most everywhere, unless we are on a longer outing which entails bringing 'more stuff.' This umbrella stroller is tricky to fit in lots of doorways, so I find myself going through the door backwards as an easier maneuver. Wish it had some compartment for storage, but, hey...it is an umbrella stroller.
