USB 2.0 LED Black Laptop PC Mac Notebook Light Travel Size

I've been looking for a USB lamp ever since I purchased my laptop in December of 2007. All the local shops: Best Buy, Radio Shack, Circuit City Etc used to carry them. No one does now. I was already making a purchase from amazon so I decided to try 2 different lamps since they were so inexpensive. I purchased this one and the 10 led lamp from HDE. I'm glad I bought both. The 2 lamp is very secure on it's flexible shaft and has an on/off switch on the positive side. On the negative side it just doesn't get the job done. It is too dim to cover more than 1/4 to 1/3 of the keyboard. You would need one on each side in order to see the keyboard in a dark room. The 10 LED lamp on the other hand covers the whole keyboard with light to spare. It is a little top heavy for the flexible shaft, but I'll put up with having to adjust it now & then in order to have enough light. If your laptop is kept on a flat surface or a slight incline then it's rock steady. Do yourself a favor, buy the 10 led lamp, the smaller one just doesn't cut it. Dave

The price was right and it does what I want. It elimates the shadows created by the way my computer keyboard sits. Didn't want to change the keyboard so I tried this and it worked. It could be brighter but it does the job.

Nice design and flexible, however, after two weeks, one of the two LED's began to flash and appears to be going out. Due to the price, it is not worth the trouble to return. Also, this product provides only a small area of light. It does not light the entire keyboard. Two additional LED's properly directed would help. I would pay $10-$15 for a light that worked properly.

Because of a physical condition, I need a little more performance out of products like this and this more than fills the bill for me. The metal gooseneck is highly adjustable, yet very steady in service. The flat wide design of the light allows for a focus that illuminates the entire keyboard,important to a 'seek and discover' typist like me, but does not produce enough excess glare to interfere with someone sitting right next to me. Also, congratulations to who ever decided to bundle this light with two others of similar function but different design. I chose to buy them together, at a great price, in the hopes of finding one in three that would not disappoint me in terms of material quality or construction. I was pleasantly surprised when 2 of the three went well beyond my needs and the third, while not exactly what I needed, was obviously highly useable to someone with slightly different requirements. In my opinion, all three were well designed and intelligently constructed. An excellent value.

Who did turn off the light at the end of the tunnel? ;-)

Yap another gadget from China. Don't eat-it you don't know what in it... Hey it's a working inexpensive gadget. And I was surprise there a switch on the top. Ya I know I give it (4) stars. Unlike me it's not perfect... The (2) LED are pointing at a focal point about 6" under the light, what make a bright spot, the size of the key pad and doesn't light-up the all keyboard. I should say it a bright light, more then I expect. It should have a reflector in back of the light also the clear plastic reflect the light on the side and kind-of blinding you when you use it on a laptop.

Nice - enough light for a keyboard and keeps the shape you bend it to.

I bought this USB Notebook Lamp and it is good and even it is give very little light, it is solve the purpose.

Don't buy this product! Within one second of plugging in this LED light to my laptop, my laptop went from working to fried. The last message I got in windows was a small popup bubble in the corner that said "Power surge on port hub detected. The laptop let out this sickly whine, then after I unplugged the light, went dark, never to turn on again.

The light was very loose in the port and wiggled around significantly, even when firmly inserted into the port.

Avoid frying your laptop - don't buy this product. It's cheap, made in China, and fries computers.

Light works great. It is bright and isn't a focused beam, which means you can see all of the keys.

It does however let light leak out from the sides a bit and will annoy you.

I fixed this problem with a little piece of black tape on the side edges.

My son colored the edge with a black sharpie and it worked just as well.

Cant beat it for the price!

As a DJ was looking for additional lighting source for low lite enviro's. Light projects more as Spot than key coverage! Is functional but Not necessarily practical!?
