Best & Easiest Wax there is,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Black Magic Liquid Car Wax, 16 oz
Using the Black Magic for years now. It is the best and easiest wax ever. Even if you forget to buff it out, it come off with ease and leaves the hardest shine you can find. No reason for expensive wax, this really does the job

Durable,

Some of the issues noted are valid, it leaves a 'wax' streak etc. But most waxes do that. Its a trade-off of protection/durability vs a mirror shine.
Found it more durable than most, just as leading consumer mag said. On cooler days out of the sun, takes more than 5 minutes to dry(perhaps 15, big whooop). But I like it that way, leaves more wax behind to protect the surface.

Wonderful Product,

This was rated by Consumer Reports as the best wax for your buck, and I have to agree!
This liquid wax goes on very easy and comes off even easier. Oh and if you happen to get some wax on rubber or anything else it comes right off. The only suggestion I have is after you "Think" you've removed all the wax take it out into the sun and look over the care because you will have missed a couple of spots. The only complaint is it hard to see the dried wax. Other than that this is a wonderful product.

My Arms Are Tired!,
By
This review is from: Black Magic Liquid Car Wax, 16 oz
I recently purchased this product for my first time at a local Wal-Mart. I followed the directions and applied the product one small area at a time. My problem was that it would not ever dry. Even after 2 hours! It's impossible to remove a damp wax without lot's of streaking, which is exactly what I got. What used to take about an hour at most, ended up taking up the better part of my afternoon. And all that repetative buffing left both my arms tired. I had to go over the Black Magic application with a different product to get rid of all the streaking. I will say that in a day or two, the finish looked nice and shiny, but obtaining this required entirely too much effort on my part. For the past several years, I used a product called Nu Finish liquid car wax in the orange bottle. I always found Nu Finish dried quickly after the intial application and was unbelievably easy to remove with no streaking and a gorgeous deep finish that lasted up to a full year. So why did I switch to Black Magic? I'm asking myself the same question! Just because it's a NEW product, does not mean it's a BETTER product! I also noticed this past weekend, while at my local Wal-Mart, that they no longer carry Black Magic Liquid Wax! However, they did still carry my old friend in the orange bottle-- Nu Finish, which I purchased and will use once again. Sorry Black Magic, it will only be Nu Finish in the future for this auto enthusiast!

Very hard to find...I have used Meguiars forever which is still a great product. But this has the wet look and last the longest. Use the microfiber towels...Easy on, easy off!

My favorite wax. Easy to apply and buff to polish. Cannot find it locally anymore so I'm ordering from Amazon.

The most effort of any wax I've used,

I bought this because of its top rating in Consumer Reports. Having read some of the reviews here and elsewhere I applied it only to the hood as a test. What a nightmare! Basically it gives the impression that it never dries, so there's a greasy-looking, smudgy film no matter how long I wait for it to dry or how long I buff. Maybe it's deliberate -- could this be where the name "wet shine" comes from?
Used this on the wife's dark blue Accord. Possibly the effect isn't as noticeable on a light-colored car. This may well be the most durable, or protective (or whatever virtue) of any wax. But I'll never find out, because it's just too much of a pain in the *** to use. Giving it two stars instead of one, only because it didn't do anything really crazy like eat through the sheet metal.

Great for Leaving Streaks,
By Peter Pan "srw" (Central Virginia) - See all my reviews

I began using this wax when a leading consumer magazine gave it a top rating. But my bottle indicates that this formula is new. I can't remove this wax. The car is streaked; the wax looks like it has bubbled up, even when I apply a thin strip of wax. I can't recommend this product, unless you like excessive work for an inferior finish.
