Based on your complaint, I think you should finish this book and read the next. Kim has said that the series is going to be changing and she will be cutting ties. It already has, really. For the record, Kim says that book 9 is her favorite, so that should be somewhat hopeful.

I think to me she was against being sterilized because it would've taken away her choices, so to speak, a part of her would have been removed against her will. If she decides to never have kids,well, that was HER choice and not someone else's and Rachel is kinda big on that.

I say Rachel/Trent all the way, but I don't want them to hook up long term any time soon. I'd rather see a friendship or an understanding develop between them first; also, some personal growth on both their parts.
