Excellent Film..... Full of mystery and great acting., May 23, 2001
This film is very well done. Mark Hamill did a wonderful job!. He always does. The film is very captivating and suspensful. It makes you watch and see what will happen in the end. The acting is very good on the part of all the actors. One actor in the film, Ray Michaels Quiroga who plays a detective did a very good job portraying a cop with a sence of humor. Apolonia did a wonderful job, and of course the rest of the actors did very well. The direction was well excecuted and the writting was very good. Director Deryn Warren did a wonderful job casting this film and directing it. This film is one of my favorite horror and suspense films.

Blood disaster, July 16, 2003
Bloody eggs! Bloody eggs! EEEEEKKKK! So scary, you can hardly stand to look at the bloody eggs. And this movie is a bloody mess. Where to begin; plot, acting, music, fashion, editing and cinematography all leave much to be desired. I must confess that I have a passion for bad filmmaking. I have viewed this film repeatedly, for the sheer hilarity of all the `scary' parts. It's fun to watch with your friends to laugh at all the awfulness. Mark Hamill does look fine in his BLUE undies, and is shirtless throughout most of the movie. And he's not at the beach. Still, he cannot save this wretched film. Watch only if you're prepared to be scared by a dead rooster, three (not two) digits, and some lovely 80's fashions. You'll have a blast. I promise.

Black Magic Woman - A surprisingly excellent film!, January 3, 2004
If you ever had ever type-cast Mark Hamill as goody-goody Luke Skywalker, this film should change your mind.
The beginning featured several old ladies and a two hard to identify young ladies (one looked VERY much like Amanda Wyss) holding a voodoo ritual in the dark. Then the scenery changed to an art gallery.
Brad Travis (Mark Hamill), a charismatic, successful art dealer that operated an LA Art Gallery with his girlfriend Diane Abbott (Amanda Wyss) held party to promote a new artist. At the event Travis saw Cassandra Perry (Apollonia) who visited the gallery for the first time. He was most attracted to her (what man in his right mind would NOT be attracted to Apollonia???) and made it apparent to everyone including his girlfriend. Diane got very angry and opted not to spend the night with Brad (they lived in separate residences). Brad heard noise in the gallery after Diane left and it turned out to be Cassandra. A very erotic and well directed love scene followed, which was highlighted by the song Black Magic Woman and sensual art.
Diane flew to NYC for business, which left Brad free to have an affair with Cassandra. After Diane returned, Brad behaved very badly to Cassandra. I was very disappointed in his demeanor to her. The affair became public knowledge and Brad lost both ladies.
Brad then brought home another lady and tried to "have fun" with her, but couldn't because he became suddenly ill due to a CURSE (witchcraft). He began vomiting blood and had great illness, which doctors couldn't diagnose.
Without ruining the story, Brad got sicker until a curandero healed him. However, 4 people were murdered as a result of the love triangle. Who killed them? Who put the curse on Brad? Which lady did he end up with (I would've chosen Cassandra)? I prefer not to tell you as I think you should buy this film. It is suspenseful, sensual, well-directed, and the acting was great.
I'm really surprised that Mark Hamill's and Apollonia's careers didn't take off after this film. It really is an excellent cinematic production - and if you're a fan of Apollonia and/or Mark Hamill....that's just the icing on the cake.
