4.0 out of 5 stars Very good detective book, December 23, 2000

This review is from: Black Mail (Paperback)
I very much enjoyed this book. Instead of the usual PI or local detective Disney uses a Postal Inspector as the investigator. The Postal Inspection Service is the oldest Federal law enforcement agency, yet little known by the public. The book was well researched and is a very good "who done it".

4.0 out of 5 stars Book Summary (Plot), May 26, 2007
This review is from: Black Mail (Paperback)
Hi. Not sure if completely okay, but I'll put a re-creation of the plot summary as given in the book:

"Who would want to persecute a girl like Lucia Ruyter? At the bank her warm friendliness and easy efficiency made her a pleasure to work with; her neighbors all spoke of her with affection, and the men in her life knew her to be a delightful and attractive young woman.
But Lucia had suddenly become the subject of a series of pointedly obscene, anonymous letters. And it was only a matter of time before Postal Inspector David Madden realized that although he could save Lucia's reputation he might not be able to save her life.

Scene: Connecticut."

Hope that helps a little bit. Other than that, it's a good read, as are all of her works.
