From Library Journal
The title refers to a national state of economic disaster after terrorists bomb strategic Wall Street sites. It also alludes to the sale of billions of dollars' worth of stolen securities, a scheme intended to cripple the United States financially. These events are made credible by the masterful storytelling of Edgar Award winner Patterson. Short, tight chapters that shift rapidly among the fascinating cast of characters successfully raise doubts about who's good and who's not as the suspense mounts. Several action scenes are rather violent and a bit gory, but they pass quickly in this fast-paced page turner. There are also some genuinely touching moments. Highly recommended.
