This review is from: Black Men in Interracial Relationships: What's Love Got to Do with It? (Hardcover)
One the best books I've read on the topic of interracial relationships! I highly recommend it anyone who is interested in the "unromanticized" reasons that some black men are dating non-black women. The reasons include more social mobility; the active pursuit of non-black women; the popular appeal of black male sexuality; men's preference for certain phenotypes (straight hair, fair skin, pointed noses, blue eyes, etc); self esteem issues; the acceptance of ethnic stereotypes (negative); status seeking (dating someone 'valuable'); and affirmation.
