Needed a black tie in a hurry... this served the purpose. Quality is good. I wouldn't call it a skinny tie as another review suggests... neither skinny or wide, just average.

Love it becuase it doesn't show stains like other ties. My work place requires me to where a tie and my other ties were looking horrible. This was affordable and looks great with almost anything.

Despite what people are saying, I personally don't see this as a skinny tie. It's a pretty standard tie and I'm not sure how it could even resemble a skinny tie. I was kinda disappointed when I compared it to another regular tie and they were pretty much exactly the same size. However, I think it's a good tie for the price and the material is ok if you're just looking for something to wear everyday or for a single event. Nothing fancy, but not bad in the least bit.

I wear ties every day for work, but my collection has been lacking a plain black tie for a while. I was initially excited about this tie because of the great price, but ended up sadly disappointed when I opened my package from Amazon. The material is cheap and the center stitching not only barely holds the cloth together, but is sewn in such a way that it pulls at different parts of the tie. When I tried to tie it, I ended up with lumps and twists in what should have been the flat front face of the tie. I know it's only a few bucks (that's what I told myself, too), but seriously, save your money!!! This tie will be going straight in the garbage, and I regret purchasing it.

These ties are actually "skinny" ties. I wasn't aware of that when I purchased several for our wedding. I was disappointed when they arrived. They were good quality, but I wasn't expecting them to be "skinny".

These are really nice ties. I was very impressed when they arrived in the mail at how nice they are and how good they look. They are being used for my wedding in three weeks and will look great!

I bought these to go with a suit that I bought for interviews.

As a student on a college budget, my jaw dropped when I went into a store to buy a tie and saw the prices. $60 for a black tie!?

So after spending a $7.70 including shipping, I have TWO ties in my hand. I have to say, the quality wasn't what I was expecting, These ties go above and beyond. Not only are they well constructed, but they're made out of quality materials and look the same as the $60 tie I saw at the store.

I got an item exactly as described, and got more than I expected when it came to quality.

It was worth my time to buy from Tieguys, and I'm sure I'll be doing it again if I want something different (because these ties look like they'll last forever)

The fabric of this tie is nice, it's quality. But this tie is SO wide! It's seriously like a clown tie! This cannot be worn. It's most likely my own fault for not imagining how wide this is... 4 inches at its widest point.

This definitely isn't a skinny tie. It's 4 inches wide. And that's a standard to slightly above standard size.
It's a nice tie. Looks good. Great for the price.

as the other reviews say, it is a tad bit less wide than other ties but it is NOT a skinny tie, it looks completely normal when not immediately next to another, wider tie.

value. well, its very good. including overnight shipping with prime, I paid $10.

the tie's construction/material is certainly acceptable and has a nice feel.

my gripe:

you have to be really good at tying a full windsor to have this tie be the correct length on your torso (if you are 6' 1" or taller)

other than that, if you don't tie a full windsor knot like most people don't and you are in a time crunch and on a budget, this really will do quite nicely. I full well intend to wear it to work every day this summer and I expect it to last much longer than that.
