Strong, Sturdy, Compact, but lacking assembly instructions.,

This is a wonderful piece. It fits nicely in a small corner. We've placed ours in a small mudroom, and it's perfect. The piece is sturdy and solid, no wobbling, no loose hooks, and it looks very sharp! I would give it a full five stars, but I've only been using it for 1 week, so I can't yet say how it will hold up after long-term use, and I do have one major issue;
The product arrived without assembly instructions! Fortunately, if you're assembly-gifted (and really you don't need to be that gifted), you can assemble the stand without difficulty, however, you will need your own Phillip's head (not mentioned anywhere, but that's something that everyone should have) and a bit of know-how. This may help: When assembling the pole, of course the piece with the holes will go on the top, for the hooks. The piece with the threaded hole goes on the bottom, and I believe that both washers connect underneath with the screw to hold the pole in place. That's what I did with mine, and it's very sturdy. When you place the feet on the umbrella stand assembly, be certain not to tighten the allen-wrench screws, or you will not be able to place the Phillip's head screws at the bottom of the feet, to lock the feet in place. When you add the hooks to the top assemblage, do not tighten the allen-screws beyond tight, or you will strip the threading, and your hook will be loose. One other thing that would be helpful is a rubber mallet for knocking in the finial at the top, and the small, round covers on the hooks and the feet. In reality, these are the sorts of things that Vision Decor should tell you themselves, but since they don't, I hope this helps someone.

We like the coat rack a lot it is very sturdy and practical with lots of hooks and the black iron with the leaves around the umbrella stand match our decor perfectly. The only fault with this product is you are on your own when it comes to assembly but it is not too hard once you lay all the parts out on the floor, The Vinman

No more throwing coats on my dining room table,

I'm so thrilled to have this item. Instead of throwing our coats on the first thing (the dining room table) when we come through the door and throwing my purse in the corner with the umbrellas that always fall over, I have this wonderful coat rack!
It's a bit shorter than I expected, but that actually turned out better since it's easier to put coats on the top pegs and makes it less unstable. I expected it to be as tall as my door, maybe, but it's probably about 6-7 inches shy of the top of the doorframe and only a couple inches taller than me (I'm 5'3"). The item seems perfectly stable, I've got several coats and bags hanging off of it. The assembly was a snap. After reading the reviews, I was expecting the worst, but I guess b/c of that expectation, the little paper diagram was a lot more helpful than I thought it would be. My husband & I are frequent DIY-ers though. But the two of us with the included allen-wrench and our phillips head screwdriver had the thing together in 10 minutes. The only thing that took a little deliberating was in what order we would snap together the three poles that made the main shaft. We figured the pole with all the holes would go at the top (since the holes were for attaching the hooks), the pole with tapered ends on both ends was for the middle, and the pole with the flat end with the screw opening went on the bottom. One bit of concern is that the circular caps that attach to the end of the coat hooks and on the bottom of the stand's feet could potentially pop off and get lost when you're pulling a coat off the hook. I'll probably take them off and reattach using superglue. I'm a bit concerned also that my toddler can pull the cap off the ones at the feet and it could be a choking hazard. Otherwise, love the stand. Would highly recommend it.

Product is good; directions lousy,

The rack went together w/o any problems & is serving its purpose very well. The written directions were VERY poor; however, it wasn't rocket science & went together easily.

Coat rack was easy to put together and seems to be holding up just fine. Have had it nearly a year now and it shows no signs of wear.

Our front closet is so loaded with our own coats that, when we have lots of company, we have to empty our coats on the bed or take our guest coats to a bedroom. So we found this solution, and it works well (sort of). It required some assembly, but nothing tricky (just some time). It fits in with our traditional decor, and there is plenty of space to hang coats and scarves and hats. But it's a good thing I took aircraft loadmaster training several years back, since I am always having to rebalance the thing around its ever-shifting center of gravity to make sure it doesn't tip over. Still, it's much easier than hauling coats up and down the stairs.

This product was easy to assemble, holds plenty of coats and umbrellas and keeps quiet. I love it. If my family buys a few more coats, I will order another.

This would be much better if it had 4 legs instead of 3. I've had it topple over on me while walking past and brushing a coat hanging on it, or trying to hang an additional one on it. It's very top heavy when there are more than 2 coats hanging on it. Considering it has hooks for more than 6 coats, that's a big pile on the ground when it tips over.
