I ordered this fig . I had these trees in he past from other nurseries. The arrival was much sooner than expected...and the tree was wrapped with so much care, protecting it from damage. I recommend highly this tree if you want quality shipping fast service of a healthy tree with green perfect leaves!!:-) I give it 5 stars!!! C.A. Marcinowski

1.0 out of 5 stars Rather disappointing, February 5, 2010

This review is from: Fig 'Black Mission' Tree Container Plant
I bought two of these fig plants. The packaging was adequate although the dirt around the roots was sparse in the containers when they arrived. After soaking them (we own a nut farm and have good resources for plant work), one of the two recovered and is now in the ground. The second plant had been grown in a pot such that the main stem curved down well below the level of the top of the roots. This made it impossible to plant in the ground. It ended up not mattering because the plant didn't recover from drying out during shipping, even though I treated it in the same way as the other plant. The company exchanged the defective fig plant for another, but it was so late in the fall by the time it arrived that I decided not to risk planting it outside until the spring. I have replanted it in a larger pot with better potting soil and it seems to be surviving. We'll see how well it does in the spring when I'll plant it outside. I don't plan to use this supplier again because of poor quality control, even though they did replace the defective plant.
