very funny, April 21, 2004

Black Moustache is a punk-based electro group. They are from Brooklyn. They were included in New York Magazine's bands of 2003. They include Spencer Product, Kenan Gunduz and Mike Skinner. They are part Beasties Boys and part ARE Weapons. Spencer Product has been a man on the scene and the force behind Berliniamsburg. Kenan Gunduz is in the band The Witnesses and was also in Soviet. Mike Skinner is a drummer and a music producer. They write songs about interesting subjects: about watching TV, being a clone, spirituality, sex, and killing. They even do a song by The Misfits. "Hot Monkey, Hot Ass!" is a highlight for me. The lyrics are funny and clever. The guitar parts are wild. This is crazy music. I just got this record a few days ago, and I can't stop listening to it. This is the first record that has gone beyond the limitations of Electroclash. Karen O and Casey Spooner are already fans.
