It's like sitting in my own personal hell.

It appears that at least a couple people on here assembled theirs without issue, so if you buy it, maybe you'll luck out.

The back rest wouldn't attach to the bottom of the chair as the holes for the screws would not align properly.

Pros: Once assembled, it's comfortable. Tilts back.

Cons: This was possibly the worst item I've ever had to assemble. It was more of a pain in the rear than changing brakes on a car. The main problem was that the back piece didn't line up with the base/seat. There are six holes that are supposed to line up with holes on the seat. With a decent amount of bending the plastic back, I could see the screw holes in the seat through the holes in the back. Unfortunately the bending made it so the holes didn't make a straight line. The bolts wouldn't screw in. I ended up having to re-drill the holes to make the seat work.

Other: It would've been nice if the armrests adjusted in height, but that can't be expected for a $79 chair. No way was this chair ever $249.

I thought it was a great chair at first. I've had it a couple months now. There are two bolts that hold the seat to the base that line up perfectly with my butt bone. When sitting in a natural position, these bolts catch all my weight and protrude up through the cushion. The are literally two raised lumps in the cushion. It's like sitting in my own personal hell. I've been putting pillows on it, but that's not ergonomic or comfortable either. I'm buying a thick memory foam office chair cushion in hopes that will dampen the pain. You should figure the price of one of those into your order, should you not heed my warning.

I was really excited for this chair but had to return it the next day due to a manufacturing defect. The back rest wouldn't attach to the bottom of the chair as the holes for the screws would not align properly.

Firstly, I will say that after getting this product assembled and the kinks worked out, it looks nice and is comfortable. However, getting it assembled and working was just awful.

I have purchased many, many "RTA" furniture pieces throughout the years, and you do generally expect to have minor issues. But this product takes the cake for being the absolute worst thing to put together ever! The instructions are fine and easy to follow. It's just a simple diagram that shows you where to put the parts and the screws...easy enough.

The problem starts if you get a chair like mine and the six holes mentioned by another reviewer are drilled too far apart! It took two adults about an hour of pushing in on the chair seat while simultaneously pulling the plastic side out to "stretch" it into place so it would somewhat line up. Time will only tell, but I am worried about that plastic cracking in the future because of the amount of tension that has to be on it at this point.

After getting the initial six screws in, it went very smoothly until the very end. Got it put together, sat in it, tried to play with the adjustable height, and discovered that the lever that controls the adjustments was hitting NOTHING! Took it apart, and appeared the hydraulic lift part was too short, and therefore, the switch that is supposed to be moved with the lever was too far down to be touched by the lever. At this point I got really frustrated with the whole thing and my boyfriend took over. He got a little ticked and tapped the hydraulic lift with a hammer, and all of a sudden, it popped up about 8 to 10 inches. It had been STUCK. While I am really, really glad that it was just stuck and not too short, I am still shocked at what a piece of junk this thing is!
