Beautiful but cheap craftmanship,

The chairs themselves are very nice looking. If you have a party or something you need the chairs for they are great but don't buy them if you expect the chairs to last. I received the two chairs and ottomans I ordered around the beginning of April. The wood is very lightweight, almost like balsa wood. Designed to spread weight around but don't put too much weight on any specific point, it won't hold it. My 40lb 6-year-old daughter sat on one of the ottomans and broke through it before the end of April. The culprit seemed to be that the slats are not all solid pieces. Some of them are two or more pieces glued together to resemble one.The latest damage to one of the chairs was today, May 9th. Right at a month since I purchased the chairs. I am 5'6" 170lbs. Not terribly heavy. I stood up out of the chair, using one of the arm rests to help get up as they sit very low to the ground. The arm rest broke in half, spilling me to the floor. Over all if you want to purchase something you will continue to use longterm, buy something else, these chairs suck. |
