I was a little hesitant about buying these as they are only $110 for 4 chiars, but just make sure you check out the shipping charges. The chairs that came were in good quality, but the packing needs something to be desired. There is no protection to the chairs in shipping and I never got half the screws to assemble as the bags were all ripped and most washers were missing.

Where to begin....

Shipped timely and that's about all I can say positive.

When the boxes arrived, the Fedex guy laid them by the door and took off. Once I opened the door and pulled the boxes in, the first thing I noticed was the condition of the boxes. A 4"x3" hole was at the bottom center (end) of one of the boxes. Also, the same box had a huge rip down the side. The boxes themselves were barely together - the cardboard was WAY too thin and it was all held together by one nylon bungie and some half ripped up tape to close the lids.

Once opened, the seats/backs and legs were there for 2 of the chairs (I got 4 total, so 2 boxes). This was the box with the hole, so of course, most of the parts (bolts, screws, etc) were not secured and fell out of the box. Then I removed the one seat and it was completely crushed and unusable. The other seat was in better shape, but still had a cracked bracer so it needed replacing as well. The other 2 seats were 'fine' (i'll get back to this).

So, the wife and I built the other 2 chairs since they seemed to have survived the trip. Once built, we tried them out and wow.....they are soooooooo uncomfortable !! When you sit in the seat, you would nearly fall through the middle since there was almost no support. Most of the time you are sitting on the edges of the wood.

At this point, I was pretty disgusted with this purchase. I contacted FurnitureMaxx and they responded quickly and shipped out all the bolts and seats we needed (3 days or so we got it I think). This time the box was better and so were the seats. Same fabric, but the seats were slightly more comfortable this time around. Also we noticed that the other seats were missing the wooden slats normally found in chairs (found only in the 2 new seats they sent). Also there was a nylon cover on the bottom, not found on the original 4. Still though, one of the new seats had a broken wooden bracer....again.....so it needed to be replaced......again.

So, at this point, there was ONE chair that's complete with all the parts inside of the seat (out of 4 !!!). So now the question, is that seat comfortable. Well, like I said above, it was much more comfortable than the first 4 we got, but it's like going from sitting on a wooden 2x4 to sitting on a 2x4 with a thin layer of foam (and some wooden slat support).

I contacted FurnitureMaxx once again to explain this and they wanted some pics. I took the pics and wrote up the explanations. They never got back to me......ever. Amazon A-Z Price Guarentee gave me a full refund (and the $50 S/H fee) after filing a claim.

I ended up going with a brand name chair (Hillsdale) for even less than the cost of these chairs (and shipping).

In the end, these chairs are poorly constructed with the lowest grade of wood (most of the chairs use knotted wood...). All 4 of them wobble since the legs are slightly off. These are junk and I would urge you to shop elsewhere or suffer the same fate I did (keep in mind, FurnitureMaxx sells these at a popular auction site as well).
