Biography

BIO
Eric Sardinas Eric Sardinas and Big Motor Picking up the guitar at the age of six, Sardinas reaped a heavin' helpin' of inspiration from a melting pot of influences numbering R&B, gospel, rock and roll and most tellingly, his profound love of traditional blues forms. All inform the songwriting and incendiary playing on the new album. And while those influences inexorably shape his playing he's… Read more in Amazon's Eric Sardinas Store

3.0 out of 5 stars Only because..., October 31, 2005
By
SG Man (Houston TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Black Pearls (Audio CD)
Eric's music is 10 times better live than it is on record (expecially vocals). Ive seen him enough, along with opening for steve vai in Houston, and he is an **INCREDIBLE** guitarist especially slide so be wary of the last reviewer. But I do have to agree his full potential isnt dealt forth in the album- not enough blues with a rock base, lacking power in voice, but look for Eric to fix his studio woes in his next album

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for a third album "jinx", January 25, 2004
By
"baberufus" (West Jordan, UT United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Black Pearls (Audio CD)
In this day and age when some blues-rock acts go soft and fluffy on their third album, Eric has beaten the odds here with a solid effort in Black Pearls. It's not quite as raw and nasty as his first album, but the songs are good. I do wish he would have showed off his masterful slide work more, though. The sound quality is a definite improvement over his second album, which I thought put the drums and bass too much in the background. I guess we have the legendary Eddie Kramer to thank for that, although how hard can it be to get a good mix between three instruments?--Hello! Anyway, good job on this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Future is NOW !!, May 16, 2005
This review is from: Black Pearls (Audio CD)
"Blues Purists" be damned,,,,,,crawl back under your Rock with your scratchy old 78's.

Eric can play alongside the best of them.
You don't tour with Steve Vai unless you're one of the Best.

Eric is the Future of Modern Blues.

The latest cd is more Aggresive than the previous 2 offerings.
A little Harsh at times but the "Bluesy" undertones are there.

This cd is Highly Recommended.
