When my granite countertop was installed to finish off my brand new kitchen the contractors chipped my new black-top stove. I was upset. I didn't know what I was going to do about this noticable chip and I was worried about it eventually rusting. I was thinking that I may have to 'bondo' it and if that would be effective and attractive. I started doing some research on this type of damage and found this Black Porc-a-Fix product. I wasn't expecting too much but when I tried it according to the instructions I was amazed! It worked! It really really works! And it was easy. Okay, so I haven't summoned up the courage to do the sanding and reapply part... but even the initial application was a huge improvement. You will need a steady hand and an artist's touch to make sure you fill in just enough just right but with a little patience this product works wonders.

Good match to fill up the chip in my enamel finish. Sanding the stuff down made it less even and mate instead of glossy while scratching the surrounding enamel. Buffering it only made things worst. Started it over from scratch without sanding or buffering and it looks great and glossy as advertised.

My advice is to apply it thin in layers and never to sand it! I don't anything else will do a better job than this product.

We purchased Porc-a-Fix because we had a chip top of the stove. We used the product as directed and it remedied the problem.

I dropped a pan on our stove that was only 2 months old and chipped the black porcelain. This worked great. You can barely see where the chip was. It is easy to use. I did several layers, letting it dry in between the layers.

Can not get the same shine without scratching the stove top - looks better than the big chip! The stove is only 2 months old. :(

I used it on the stove top per the instructions. After using the cooking top for a few weeks, the black paint came out from the touch up surface.

My stove had a nick in it so I bought this item. I only gave 4 stars because it was a little pricey. I did get it in a timely fashion.. a lot sooner than expected.

We were using the product on a black farmhouse sink. Since we were newbies to the process, I thought the outcome was superior not excellent. I would and probably will use the product again.
