It makes a loud 'clic' noise, which I find a bit distracting. It was published as new, but the instructions seemed used. A good product for the price, but I'll upgrade next time.

I purchased two of the Power Point Presentation Pointers. The first one lasted less than a week before breaking. The second one has lasted a couple of months, but I have already purchased a replacement from a different company, just in case. There is no on/off switch and the carrying case is tight enough that the buttons will be depressed if you store the product in its case, so be sure to remove the batteries after each and every use. There is an old saying that anything you get for free is worth what you paid for it. While the price on this product was exceptional, the product has a less than adequate shelf life.
