~My two cents worth~,

I'd like to be brief: if you wish to know what Midnight Oil has stood for, watch this. It's a wonderful live set, taking place symbolically in front of the Exxon building in NY. "I love it when the suits clap"~~(hello, Midnight oil:) To live, you must be willing to risk. "Don't give in..."

Great concert footage of the Exxon show on a NYC street!,

This video has some great concert footage -- it's the show that the Oils did in New York City outside the Exxon Building after the Valdez accident. Has about 6 songs, including a version of John Lennon's "Instant Karma." The versions of "Sometimes" and "Progress" are incredible, and the video conveys well what it was like to be out on the street that day. There are interviews with Peter and Rob, too. Unexpected bonus: Peter falls off an amp towards the end of the video! If you like the Oils, get this video! END |
