5.0 out of 5 stars Great Survival Knife
This review is for the HERO-EDGE K-1010-5BK, the black finished version of the Rambo knife by Q-Swords, sold by Martial Arts Land and Fulfilled by Amazon.com.

This knife is a great, solid, full-tang, 440 steel blade. It is pretty no frills, a single-solid piece of 440 stainless with para-cord wrapped around the handle for grip. It comes with a fairly well...

2.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed.
One other reviewer said this knife was a nice thickness, and I bought it based on that review. It's 1/8" thick, about as thick a truckstop folding-knife's blade. It does have a nice shape and a nice finish, but it will bend if EVER used to pry anything. It's thin-ness makes it feel lightweight and flimsy, but the handle is thick enough to fill my palm. The cord is only...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Survival Knife, July 23, 2010

This review is from: 10-3/4" Black Rambo Survival Hunting Knife w Sheath NEW (Misc.)

It comes with a fairly well constructed nylon sheath that is lined with synthetic leather that is quite rigid.

Pros:

- Full tang.
- Blade came moderately sharp.
- Cheap.
- Sheath is fairly well constructed with a synthetic leather liner.
- The black finish is a nice touch.
- Free Shipping.
- Holds an edge as well as most other knives I own (I am a collector so I own several)
- The blade is fairly heavy, some may view this as a con, I like it.

Cons:

- None really, the para-cord could have been a bit higher quality, but it can be re-wrapped with your own cord fairly easy.

4.0 out of 5 stars good, for what it is., October 9, 2010

This knife is very inexpensive! For the money you can't beat it. Its blade is thick and its sturdy, finish was way better than I expected! Sheath was also better than I thought. It's not sharp, but for the money surprised me! If you want a cheap knife thats full tang and don't mind spending perhaps 45 mins sharpening get it!

It does have a nice shape and a nice finish, but it will bend if EVER used to pry anything. It's thin-ness makes it feel lightweight and flimsy, but the handle is thick enough to fill my palm. The cord is only wrapped once, but there is spacer of somesort under the cord to give it some body. The cord is very loose however and should be replaced with a higher quality cord and wet wrapped, so it dries tighter.

The sheath is low quality as well, and if carried on a belt, the point will work thru quickly. Also, the knife hangs up on the sheath when being withdrawn. You get what you pay for, I guess, but this knife will never be my go-to, main knife. It's strickly a back-up, bottom of the toolbox knife.
