This is our fourth remote, our first non-OEM
controller, for the Wii.

This controller frequently turns itself off or
loses it's connection to the Wii. It doesn't
matter which controller number it is set to.
Changing the batteries doesn't resolve the
issues.

I should have known the price was too good to be true...

I just got my remotes, and I must say they did get here very quickly. They are definitely not new though!!! They came in Ziploc bags and some wrapping. They are scratched all over!! Such a rip off even for the cheap price!!!!

This is not made by Nintendo. It's just a cheap knockoff and it doesn't work. It won't even connect to my Wii. Not to mention that, even if it did, it doesn't have wii motion plus. So I'll be getting my money back. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP, KNOCKOFF REMOTE.

Do not buy this product at all, but especiallyThe remote may be worth the different price for a more feeble item, but there is no point of buying it with the nunchucks, which clearly do not work.

We bought this extra controller since "santa" only included one controller in the Wii box for this Christmas. From the beginning it kept losing it's "signal" which was very frustrating for the kids. We replaced the batteries, moved all possible obstacles from impairing the signal from the receiver and it still only worked 20% of the time. Now, after a month of occasional use, it does not work at all. I am VERY disappointed in this product. I ordered it in Sept. because we were on sabbatical this fall and when we returned home at Christmas, "santa" needed to have his delivery already wrapped and ready. Of course, by the time this was opened after Christmas, it was already past the return date. I hope there is some recourse as it is bad business to take money for a broken product.

I should learn to read more carefully. I did not realize this was a generic, and the claim that it works just as well as original Nintendo equipment is simply not true, at least not in my case. We got the remote and it connected with our Wii right away, but we found that it was slow and unresponsive. It was absolutely unusable on Mario Kart Wii. You turn and your character doesn't go, so you turn more and your character shoots off the side of the track, so you turn back the other way and you're all over the place, or off the track entirely. It completely ruins the fun. I threw it away and bought an authentic Nintendo remote. It cost three times what this one did, but guess what?!? It actually works. Please do not buy this trash.

I ordered this set because I gave my husband a Wii for Christmas and I knew we needed an extra controller set if we wanted to play together. However, this set didn't come with the Wii Motion Plus accessory. At the time I didn't know I needed it, but I've since learned that several games, including one of the discs included with the console, require the accessory in order to play them. I think this set could be improved if it included the Wii Motion Plus attachment.

From the very first, its not connecting to the wii.Tried all different options but with no result. Very frustrating for the kids since it was ordered for my son's birthday when his friends were at home to play but had no options. I will suggest the seller to test the product thoroughly before selling.

Please don't let the negative reviews about the Black Wii Mote and Nunchuck Set Combo discourage you
from buying this great product. It's highly likely these people bought them used from a questionable seller
on Amazon or don't know how to properly use it and sync them to either a Wii or Wii U console.

I just received my Wii Mote & Nunchuck today from EC TEK(Kentucky). If you sign up for a free 30 day Amazon
Prime membership, you get free 2-day shipping and other benefits. The Wii Mote & Nunchuck closely resemble
the Nintendo brand. The only noticeable thing missing is the absence of a wrist strap. Not that big a deal to me.
This Wii Mote & Nunchuck seem to be made of high quality material, very well made. I put 2 AA batteries in the
Wii Mote and attached the Nunchuck and it feels and functions just like a Nintendo Wii Mote. This controller
works great for the Wii and the Wii U. You must remember to sync them with your Wii or Wii U console.
To do this, simply press the red button on the front of your Wii or Wii U console, then press the red button
on the back of the Wii Mote.

All the buttons work well and are very responsive. The power button, -, and + are easier to press down than
the Nintendo mote. The Nunchuck's analog stick and C and Z buttons are also very responsive.
If you decide to buy batteries, definitely buy the Energizer Power & Play Charging System for Wii U & Wii.
You'll get a charger, ac adapter, 2 rechargeable battery packs, 2 battery covers, and a manual. It'll save you
money in the long run by not having to go to the store and buy more batteries. One other thing I should mention.
Even with the rechargeable packs inserted in the Wii Mote, the controller feels very light in your hand.
It's almost as if no batteries are in the Wii Mote!

If you need to buy a replacement Wii Mote & Nunchuck, buy this one instead. It's looks, feels, and handles
great with either the Wii or Wii U console. There's also a white Wii Mote & Nunchuck combo on Amazon as well.
You don't have to buy a more expensive Nintendo Wii mote! This Wii Mote & Nunchuck work just as well fora
lot less money. Highly recommended.

Nowhere on the packaging or on the units themselves does this Nunchuck/Remote combo actually say "Nintendo" or "Wii" anything, though it is listed as OEM. Seems like some third party knock-off, very suspicious in my opinion. I now believe that "OEM" is the manufacturer's name, rather than the abbreviation we all know as "original equipment manufacturer." Deceptive marketing.

Unlike the real Wii remote that came with the original system, this combo does not include the rubber jacket nor the wrist strap; this latter is particularly shocking given how much the Wii instructions insist that it is Very Important that you Wear the Wrist Strap At All Times. Also, the combo does not come with any instructions on how to synch it with your system; in fact it comes with no print material whatsoever. I found instructions in the Wii Manual that came with the original system, but this combo was very difficult and reluctant to synch up -- but since it finally did synch, I guess we don't have to mail it back after all.

However, now that it finally synched, we just discovered that it can't even be used with the Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort that came with the system. We need to order yet another part, the "Wii Motion Plus Adapter" (which comes with the rubber jacket, but still no wrist strap). This time I'll know to verify that the manufacturer is explicitly stated as Nintendo, no more deceptive "OEM."
