I got my poncho today and it's beautiful! It's soooo soft and the fur shines. It's not as thick as I thought it'd be, so it's more wearable and versitile than I thought it'd be, which is nice! I was worried that it would shed like a reviewer mentioned but it hasn't shed on me. I m VERY pleased with this poncho. On top of it all, the price is unbelievable and it makes me want to have one of each color!

I am an animal lover, too, and belong in 3 animal rights organizations, but I am not even going to address any animal issues because it just doesn't belong here. The average rating for this review is just ridiculous. I give it a full hearted 5 star! Don't let the negative reviews mislead you. If you are against wearing fur, you wouldn't even be looking at this item in the first place and surely don't need someone else to tell you to not wear fur.

In sum, TO FAIRLY RATE THIS PONCHO: If you get this poncho, you wouldn't regret it.

This fur poncho was very poorly made. Big fur blotches were missing, anytime you wore it the hair was flying everywhere you went, anytime you moved and the clothes underneath were covered in hair when you took it off. If you breathe one in it's like getting a hair ball caught in your throat, a safety hazzard for an asthmatic or person with allergies.

Actually, I would have given it a 5 if it weren't so SMALL that it barely touches my waist (I'm 5'5"). The photo shows it in the fit it should have...unfortunately the photo is untruthful. It fits my 6 year old grand-daughter very well. I don't think it was made for an adult!?!

I just received the brown rabbit fur poncho. It was even better than I anticipated. I liked that the edging was all rabbit fur. I had ordered another similar poncho from a different company in blue. It was not nearly as nice as the one from Black Rivet. I got loads of compliments the first night I wore it with jeans and a brown sweater. Thanks again.

I had almost given up on the poncho trend when I saw this beauty. After shopping around for a little fur for the winter season I found this great alternative. I thought I would just barely be keeping up with Jonses when to my surprise my friends and co-workers loved it on me. Don't wear this if you want to blend in. I kept getting pet between meetings. I can't wait to wear this out for a night on the town. This poncho is fabulous and sassy.

What a deal! This hot little poncho is fabulous and priced right! This trend is everywhere from runways to sidewalks I see many a gal sporting the furry ponchos. Other designers are offereing these at price points $150 and up these are a softer substitute to the fashionista on a budget. I have the light purple one and love it!

This is NOT rabbit hide. No rabbits died making these ponchos. It is rabbit fur which is both shed and combed from rabbits.

I love my rabbit fur ponchos (I got 2 -- you can afford to at this price). I wear them whenever I can! Everyone else loves petting me when I wear them too!

I love rabbits myself. I had 2 named Mork and Mindy as a child and would never support a company who was slaughtering rabbits for ponchos, but this company is not doing that.

This item is really warm and cozy and for the price you cannot get more luxurious than this. Belive me, cows are not extinct thanks to the fact that we eat them if you are thinking this is animal cruelty. Remember that leather and wool come from animals and people still wear them. Plus, sheep are not killed for their fur as it can be with rabbits, since the shedding is used to weave with wool. Down, an animal product from geese,is also used and loved by everyone because of its warmth and coziness and I do not see anyone complaining about cruelty or wasted animals in this case, only when rodents, RODENTS, are in question, everyone goes berserk. Do not judge without knowing how it is made.

Hundreds of millions of rabbits are slaughtered for their fur and their flesh every year. They are often killed by having their necks snapped or having their skulls beaten before being strung up by the legs and having their heads cut off.
