not bad,

I have to say this is a pretty good tomahawk for the money. It does not come very sharp but that is remedied by taking it to a professional and having it sharpened for $5. The balance is fairly good but I would prefer a little more weight to it. It has a mean little beard at the end of the main blade and a very good spike on the back side which can also be sharpened. If you are looking for a inexpensive tomahawk without sacrificing effectiveness it buy it.

I bought this to use as camping hatchet and not a throwing ax. It works well as a hatchet and is very durable. It holds a pretty good edge for quite some time and is easily sharpened like any other hatchet (ax). Now I did not buy it as a throwing ax, but... well... you know... I had to try it since it was advertised as such and it stuck on my first throw!!! Well, so the pointy handle stuck. I've never seriously tried to throw an ax and expect to stick it into a tree trunk before. I could probably learn this ax throwing thing given enough time, but I really don't need to learn how it is done. I have guns and crossbows that are much easier to master. It is still my camping hatchet and will remain just that.
