I purchased this because I started getting tiny scratches all over my Pre. I figured the price listed sure beats anything the Sprint store had to offer and if it didn't work then I'd purchase the $10 case offered by another manufacturer on Amazon (NOT the $39.99 case from the Sprint store). When the product arrived I thought it looked pretty cheap and probably wouldn't do the job, however I was pleasantly surprised. It fit my Pre perfectly!!! It has a nice snug fit and protects everthing except the screen. Despite the photo (the seller really needs to change that and I'm sure more people would purchase), it does NOT cover the gesture area. The case fits around the Pre like a frame leaving all areas that need to be open free from covering yet protects the Pre from tiny dings and scratches from laying it on hard surfaces or if you're like me, I always drop it in my purse and my keys and various other sharp items in my handbag were scratching the phone. Now, I just need to find a decent screen protector that won't impair the touchscreen utility.

There's a lot of conflicting information here. Reviewer M.Webb is correct. The photo included (with the case covering the gesture area) is not the correct photo of the product. This case DOES NOT cover the gesture area of the phone. The top (screen) portion of the case simply "frames" the front part of the phone w/o covering it. It in no way prevents any functionality of the Pre.

Besides this, the case has a nice feeling in the hand. The phone is a lot less "slick" to hold on to. It also looks quite attrative on the Pre and is not too bulky.

I was hoping for a case-like device to protect my Palm Pre, but I guess I must keep looking. This does not fit correctly. One side clips in and then the other pops off. Finally after about a half hour of trying I said forget it.

I found better results with a skin for the Pre from ZAGG.

Skip this item, there are many better options out there.

Waited for 2.5 weeks to get this supposed case. Finally got it and put it on, and the prongs broke with in 1 Freakin week. I understand it was cheap in price but im still pissed on principle!

I bought 2 cases for a palm pre from this company and neither of them work. they Are terrible and I wasted my money on them. I'm very disapointed and would like to send them back !

Maybe this item is worth what you pay for. I knew it was cheap and figured it would last until I get my next phone. I was wrong. It lasted a few weeks and broke. I spent the money on the phone companies real deal and am better satisfied.

I bought this product 3 times. It is so cheap that I couldn't help but buy again after it broke the first time after a week. But after 3 tries, that's it.

It fits fine and looks great. However, the snaps that hold it to the phone break after about a week of use. It is just too cheap plastic. Oh well.

This cover has lasted more than 1 week without breaking so far. It's a little bit bulky though, and is difficult to get at the power button. (You have to dig into the crack with a fingernail, it's no longer easy to just tap it with a thumb) The slide mechanism is a little more difficult as well. The bottom piece rubs against the top when sliding. Enough friction that it requires two hands to open the phone.

I actually got a couple of these because the price was so cheap. I knew full well I was not getting a high-end product.

Having dropped the phone once, it did what I wanted it to do--cushion the fall and protect my Pre Plus. However, it came off the phone and broke one of the tabs in the process. It still works, though! :)

Another negative is that the plastic is not colored black everywhere. I took a black permanent marker and colored the white areas on the tabs, but it was annoying.

One other plus for this product is that it works with the Touchstone charger. However, the one in my truck is mounted at an angle on the dash and the magnet is not strong enough (or the case is too thick) to hold the phone on the charger. That really sucks, but the Seido case that is also Touchstone compatible is a lot more money, and I don't know that works at an angle either!

Overall, it's probably only a two-star product, but I'll give it a third star because it works with a flat-mounted Touchstone base.

At first when I opened the package I did not think it was going to work. It appeared cheap but once I put it on my phone it was hard to get off which is a good thing because I know my phone will be protected. The gesture area is not covered up like the picture shown. You are still able to use your gesture area with out any problems. Nice case that will protect your phone from cracks and scars.
