A Roman Murder Mystery by Marilyn Todd This book is number six in Todd's lively series featuring the feisty, racy Roman widow, Claudia Seferius. Truthfully, Todd's heroine seems like she belongs more to the 21th century world than Ancient Rome at the beginning of the first century C.E. But much of the historic details are accurate, and the books are fast paced and fun. Claudia is not one to sit around letting bad things happen to her even if they usually are a result of her own mismanaged life. Instead she jumps, and sometimes is forced, into seeking solutions to the murders an mysteries that seem to surround her. In this one, Claudia joins a trade delegation to Gaul, and then everything goes wrong...... |
