I would thoroughly recommend this boook to anyone who wants to find out first-hand about the experiences of Romany people living in the Czech Republic. The quality of scholarship and the attention to detail are obvious.

The first hand accounts here are as ghastly as any I have read in other Holocaust compendiums.
I'd never heard of Lety until I purchased this volume some years ago. But this book is most important because it gives voice to the Roma survivors of that era, specifically of a camp established solely for Rom victims. No library on the Nazi Holocaust is complete without this book.

There is more to the Holocaust then what we have been shown. This is a must read; if you want to be more informed, rather then excepting what we have been spoon fed.
