This is a nice cover for the Flip HD. It fits perfectly and really protects the camera from scratches. I dont think it would do much in case of a camera drop. The only problem for me is if you have a tie case, it makes the camera hard to get in and out because of the friction. The advantage of the silicone is that you have a much better grip on the camcorder and its not nearly as slippery and thus reduces the chances of an accidental drop, which would be the end of the camera most likely. worthwhile product

Great way to provide scratch and shock protection. Does not provide proofing type protection. Is however a great product and a necessary accessory.
My concern was accessibilty to function controls. Pleasantly, my concern was unfounded, all necessary functions are easy to operate, the same as if the case is removed.
Overall a great product.

Don't buy this case for a Flip UltraHD, 8GB, 2 hours (3rd Generation). When I bought my 8GB, 2 hours, 3rd generation Flip camera, Amazon recommended this case to go with it. I ordered one, and it does not fit properly.

A "skin" should fit snugly, and this one doesn't. On my camera this case is loose, and the camera can rotate inside the case. The case actually makes the camera harder to hang onto. Maybe this skin fits better on an older, thicker model? Other than the sloppy fit, though, there's nothing wrong with this case.
