This is a nice cover for the Flip HD. It fits perfectly and really protects the camera from scratches. I dont think it would do much in case of a camera drop. The only problem for me is if you have a tie case, it makes the camera hard to get in and out because of the friction. The advantage of the silicone is that you have a much better grip on the camcorder and its not nearly as slippery and thus reduces the chances of an accidental drop, which would be the end of the camera most likely. worthwhile product

Great way to provide scratch and shock protection. Does not provide proofing type protection. Is however a great product and a necessary accessory.
My concern was accessibilty to function controls. Pleasantly, my concern was unfounded, all necessary functions are easy to operate, the same as if the case is removed.
Overall a great product.

Don't buy this case for a Flip UltraHD, 8GB, 2 hours (3rd Generation). When I bought my 8GB, 2 hours, 3rd generation Flip camera, Amazon recommended this case to go with it. I ordered one, and it does not fit properly.

A "skin" should fit snugly, and this one doesn't. On my camera this case is loose, and the camera can rotate inside the case. The case actually makes the camera harder to hang onto. Maybe this skin fits better on an older, thicker model? Other than the sloppy fit, though, there's nothing wrong with this case.

I love my Flip HDs (Yes, pathetic. I have two.)These skins protect and provide a nice gripping surface. I love them. If you have a Flip, you need these.

Fits the camera very well, and protects against damage. Down-side? Attracts cat hair like a magnet, and makes it almost impossible to fit in other cases. I had to return a quilted drawstring bag made for the Flip because it was very hard to force the Flip in with the silicone skin. I think you have to go with one or the other, not both products.

The silicone wasn't tight fitting to the camera, but was extremely loose making it difficult to push the buttons. Plus the material picked up every piece of lint making it look like a hairball coming out of the pocket. Threw it away shortly after purchasing.

I was really excited for this to come in with the flip cam that I ordered for my boyfriend for christmas. I got him a white one and then this black case because I figured he'd then have an option of the color he wanted and the protection. The case description specified that it was for the model and make of the flip cam I purchased, but when it arrived it looked like it had been sitting in a hot room for centuries. The silicone was all distorted and mangled and it didn't even come close to fixing his flip cam. I was disappointed and honestly embarrassed when he unwrapped it. This is a silicone case that is designed for the 2nd generation of the Flip Cameras, not the 3rd and currently newest generation. While it will fit the camera, it is loose and some openings do not align properly. Is it worth the price for the 2nd generation? Yes, but by far not worth the money if you have the 3rd Generation camera.

I bought the latest FLIP and the products listed on Amazon are NOT the right ones for this camera! I had to return all of it.

This case is not what I expected. I wanted something that protected the camcorder. It protects the casing, but not the lenses, which is open. I still need to put it in another case to protect everything.
