I purchased one of these little speakers last month and carried it with me to China. It's small easy to pack and there was no appreciable drain on the iTouch battery. It fit easily to my iTouch even with my iFrogz leather case in place. I abused this little unit not on purpose but just in being clumsy. Still working like a charm. Yes it's small and it's not loud enough to fill a room but it performs at a much better level than I ever anticipated. Good sound for video or music where you just don't want to use earbuds.

Let's just say it's done so well I just placed an order for two more. One as a back up in case I loose the first one and one for my daughter. Might have to order a few more for gifts to several friends that have already shown interest after seeing mine.

OK that's all well and good. How good is this company for returns ... have no idea. But I can tell you that they are willing to go the distance to make sure they satisfy a customer. More than met their obligations to satisfy this customer. Email response in quick and helpful for any question you might have.

It's been a refreshing change to deal with these folks and yes I'll be back. I rarely whole heartedly endorse someone but I do these people.

UPDATE 27May08:
Just received my two new mini-speakers. Both as good as the first one I originally ordered. Added my update to note that they came today. I ordered them over the weekend ... a holiday weekend ... and I have them delivered to me today at the office before I even got the UPS notice. Most places I've ordered online ... you're talking business days, non-holiday shipments. These guys/gals are providing good customer service ... not to mention a good product. Hope they do well.

I just love this mini speaker. I bought it for my iPod touch. It's exactly what I need when I just feel like watching a movie or listening to music but don't want to be bothered with ear buds or attaching it to my computer or other speaker set up. I also bought it because I plan to use it when I'm in Europe and it's so small it won't add bulk to my packing. It's also a nice little tool if you want to share something with someone and not have to share your ear buds. The sound isn't excellent, I hope everyone would know that, but it's audible and I actually watched a whole television program with it the other night and it was exactly what I wanted it for. Don't be afraid to buy this little speaker - it's fun and very inexpensive - definitely worth the price.

I purchases this product the other day because I have the 1st generation iPod touch and I have desperately wanted to listen to the sound effects on games and watch videos without headphones. Of course, it doesn't kick out the loudest sound, but it does well for casual listening around home or a generally quieter place without the use of batteries. However, the bass quality, as you might have guessed, is pretty bad. When turned very loud, the bass sounds all fuzzy and is quite annoying. This mini speaker is great for 1st generation iPod touch users that need sound without headphones and batteries.

i've been using this mini-speaker for some time and it's very handy. you can just plug it into your ipod and it'll work -- the sound quality is pretty good and you can still adjust the volume a lot on the mini-speaker itself. it's something you can bring out with you everywhere; it can even just fit into your pocket connected w/your ipod! i definitely recommend this item ~ it's something you all must have!

This mini speaker has a lower volume than the 3G iPhone internal speaker. Also the iPhone has more bass. You would be better off purchasing an amplified speaker for your iPod or iPhone.

Concept is good, but the product is of poor quality.

It has a couple volume control buttons, and does actually produce sound. But at maximum volume it is barely audible in a fairly quiet environment.

A waste of money at $19 + 10 shipping. I'm looking for a quality replacement for this. This is the quality of something you would expect to find at the dollar store.

these little speakers are small and when i say small i mean it its as big as a battery but the sound is very good for the size and very light weight
although its hard to put it into the ipod if u have a thick cover(like speck) but the sound is great.

all in all i think this speaker is ideal for somone who wants to listen to music without earphones- without having to spend hundreds of dollars on "ipod certified" speakers

I had my reservations about purchasing this speaker but I must admit the following: the seller responded promptly to my inquiries, the product arrived earlier than estimated, and the speaker is worth the price, even without the bonuses. In addition to the speaker, I received two USB rechargeable AA batteries and a set of earphones. These are nice but the speaker really shines. I don't know what some have expected but between the firmware update and this speaker, I feel like I have a 2nd gen unit! Yes, I know there are other differences but, for me, these don't matter.

Let me tell you about the speaker, that's what I'm reviewing here anyway. It slipped onto my iPod easily and remained firmly in place, despite my attempts to dislodge it. It automatically wakes the unit when first connected, whether the unit is sleeping or completely powered off. Typically the iPod will be directed to the Music app.

The speaker complements the iPod Touch beautifully. Of course, it is thicker than the iPod but it feels solid, has volume controls, and sounds great! I started a movie, watched a Star Trek episode on Joost, listened to a few songs, and even played some games, including Tap Tap Revenge, where I was certain the speaker would shake loose, without a single hitch. The speaker really does its job!

I got tired of hooking up my earphones whenever I wanted to hear something on my iPod. I even bought a pair of speakers to listen to the unit without my earphones but the wires soon became more trouble than it was worth. This portable speaker is exactly what I wanted!

I have no complaints about the sound quality, volume, or practicality of this speaker. The sound is not as good as my stereo speakers, or even the speaker on my laptop, but it does its job nicely. The volume controls work as designed and the volume is sufficient. My wife and I were able to play Monopoly and both of us were able to hear the game, without shaking loose the speaker when rolling our dice. That's what it's all about!

This is a wonderful accessory for the 1st gen iPod Touch and I would recommend it to any of my friends, which is why I took the time to write this brief review.

I got my iPod touch this summer, just 2 months before the 2nd generation ones came out. I was upset that they had speakers built in and mine did not. I've bought some speakers from walmart to try to use with my ipod, but they were big and bulky and used batteries.

This works very well with my ipod touch. I can use it to play games without putting earphone in or watch movies or share music with my friends.

I was skeptical and thought the item would be cheaply made and wouldn't work well, but it looks good and sounds good, especially for the price. (it looks better in person than it does in the picture)

My only concern is that it is hard to plug in well with certain cases, so just be aware of that when thinking of purchasing it.

Just a note about the seller:

I received quick delivery of the speaker, it was well packed and the speaker's factory packaging was easy to open. Based on my experience I recommended this seller.

The speaker is what I was looking for it has made my I-touch more enjoyable to use. The speaker is something that I hope Apple will build in to the next I-Touch.

I didn't expect alot of sound from the speakers but was very happy with the results, not a lot of bass but I did expect this based on other reviews.

The speaker allows you to play games, watch movies and also hear all the alarms without having to always wear earbuds.

Now all I need is a case that will work well with the speaker allowing me to leave the speaker connected, one that I can hook to my belt is preferred.
