5.0 out of 5 stars Great racing story for boys, May 19, 2011

This review is from: The Black Tiger (Paperback)
I read this book in the 70s. I recently bought a used copy to read to my elementary school aged son. It is a story of a 17 year old mechanic who learns to overcome fear and race a troublesome car in the 1950s southern california racing scene. Memorable characters are the Scotish mechanic Worm and the hero Woody.
