I ordered this CD from Australia as soon as I heard about it, and it arrived last week. I am delighted as, although I have every record Winnie ever made in this country (and am equally pleased that a lot of them are now being re-released on new CD compilations), this is only the second time I have possessed a CD of some of her Australian recordings.
Winnie has always been my great favourite, and the variety of styles on this CD is as amazing - fifty-two years after starting to follow her careeer and twenty-two years after her sad and sudden death - as ever! I do hope that Australia will now issue on CD even more of the recordings she made after she moved there all those years ago. |
