She got the book for her 2 month old son and told me how much he loved it and stared & smiled at all the pictures.
The book is sturdy enough to stand by itself and entertain the baby during "tummy time", encouraging them to pick up their head and to look up at the pictures.
This book has very simple black and white images in an accordion-style so that the book can be opened up and stand on its own.
