You have did it again!! This book is the bomb!! You have all the issues and problems that most of us as women go through or have went through with no good men or men we think are good for us but end up being poison

Isis Tatum's life starts out average with a father, Ice, that she loves to death and her mother, Sandy who is totally devoted to her family. Infidelity and lies tear this once happy or so they thought family apart
Isis floats through life meeting different men that teach her a different life lesson and most all end in tragedy or disappointment. I am not going to give away too much of this book becuase it is a must buy. My favorite book by Nikki is "Riding Dirty on I-95" but I don't know now, "Black Widow" may take the cake.....the ending was explosive and unexpected.....you may want to brush up on your reading of some of her past books because there may be a character ot two here you may recognize...I really hope there is a part 2 to this powerful story....I think Isis could definitely carry her own in a sequel....you have to get this book, it is a must have.....there has been a serious drought in the world of Urban Fiction....Nikki comes out swinging with this one!!!!!!!!!!

I read 200 pages the first day and 80 pages the next day. The story was very interesting and involved.

Pros:
1. The author is an excellent writer, very descriptive and the storyline flowed.
2. The author didn't use the character driven chapter method of writing like other black authors are using. She actually integrated the story and characters for the readers.
3. The story was unique and different.
4. The characters were written in a way that you either liked them or hated them or at least were confused. Many books have characters that leave you feeling nothing.

Cons:
1. No woman is all that. The author wrote Isis in such a way that ALL men wanted her; no woman is all that.
2. Isis wasn't really a believeable character. It seemed a little bit too convenient that Isis would be able to find a man to rescue her each time she was in a crisis situation.
3. The men in the book were not admirable; they were drug dealers or other corrupt men living large. It almost seemed like the author was trying to make low-life men heroes or something.

Summary:
Isis lost her mother and father at the age of 13. At the age of 15, she met Dave. David ended up on death row a few months later and was executed when Isis was 20.

Isis then met Bam. Bam got Isis a trailer, but beat her. When Bam ended up in prison, Isis tried to take his $313K and live life large. Bam, however, retrieved the money which was hidden in the trailer.

While in Vegas, Isis met Logic. Logic was a big time low-life and gave Isis the good life. They married and Logic ended up in jail. While Logic was in jail, Isis' 1/2 sister was jailed by her abusive ex-boyfriend. Isis went to Texas to resolve that issue and met Lootchee.

Lootchee and Isis never had sex, but Lootchee fell in love with Isis. After the witness was murdered and ran to Tahiti, Logic was released and he and Isis had a second wedding that was huge.

Isis' BLACK WIDOW jewelry design business was doing well and she and Logic were happy. It was, however, short lived. Isis threatens revenge against Lootchee (read the book to find out why).

GOOD BOOK!

I've read many of Nikki Turner books. Black Widow seems to have a good story line but the book ended abruptly. It was like she got tired and said let me end this. Hopefully there would be a (better)sequel.

Well what can I say besides the woman writes nothing except fire....and that is exactly the best words to describe the Black Widow pure FIRE!!!!!!!!! I loved this book it had everything an amazing story needed to have in order to captivate the audience. I am seriously sitting at the edge of my seat waiting for Pt 2 because I am not through with Isis.

Ms. Turner you have never let me done and I can see why you considered this novel your baby.....because it was breath taking.

I have read previous books by Nikki Turner and decided to try this one. I will say that it was a pretty good read....until the end! This book had a lot of detail and really held my interest, then all of a sudden, as if the author was in the middle of cooking dinner and had to hurry up and end the book so the food wouldn't burn.... it ended. I know that's dramatic but that's exactly how I felt. What the ? On top of the ending being rushed and seemingly thrown together, it was not believable! I won't spoil it for people who haven't read the book but for the "Emperor of the South" to do what was said at the end was just ridiculous. Where did that come from? I guess from the one line that said he always gets what he wants.... The ending ruined it for me.

This book is a winner. I have books that I read over and over this one is one of them!

I read this book some time ago.. I love Nikki Turner's style of writing she has pulled me in pg by pg with each book & this was no diff. If you love Gritty & Romance Betrayal Deciect & Revenge this is the book for. Lookin forward to the followup..

The book was great. I was a little disappointed at the ending, but Nikki usually clears that up in the next book. I look forward to reading the continuation of this novel.

OMG, I could not put this book down at work. Isis grew from a young lady to one hell of an entrepreneur with the help of several thugs in her life. Although she endured pain and hardship through out the story, she came out on top. Thumbs up to Nikki Turner for an excellent storyline!

OMG!! I don't know what you turned in to the editor the 1st time but Mama mia I am so glad you re-did the whole book - IT IS FIYAH!! I read it in 4hrs & then read it again because it is that good. Isis is a slippery, Lucky & Extremely Blessed lil something - the stuff that only storybooks are made of but so well written, you can't help but believe it & cheer for her from the sidelines.
I loved it & can't wait to order another Nikki Turner Hit for my Kindle! Keep Up the Excellent work & Thank you!
