Third Gloria Damasco mystery is a winner!,
By Sherry York "Librarian & reviewer" (Ruidoso, NM & Maverick, TX USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Black Widow's Wardrobe (Paperback)
Chicana detective Gloria Damasco finds herself trying to protect Black Widow at a Day of the Dead celebration although she knows nothing about this mysterious woman who has been imprisoned for killing her husband. As a part of her investigation, she learns much about Malintzin Tenepal, otherwise known as Malinche. Although there are a few "stretches" in plot, this mystery gives a more complete picture of Gloria and her family. The warmth and complexity of the Mexican American culture are apparent in this generally well-written mystery.
