Black jar lid and center cap for Oster & Osterizer blenders.

This is a poor excuse for a blender lid! Non-flexible hard plastic that has no sealing ability. Don't buy it.

The lid I received from Goodman's was not like the original. While it worked ok, it was hard plastic that didn't have the same "fit-and-feel" like the original. It's only fair to say that I have used it for a couple of years, and the clear plastic top only just broke. I'm looking to replace it with something more to manufactures specs.

This lid arrived looking as pictured, but is much flimsier than the original, which I was replacing because I bought a replacement pitcher in a different shape from my first Oster pitcher.

I ordered a lid. Did not occur to me it would not include the center cap. Now I have to order the center cap. What a nuisance.

I bought this replacement lid because mine got a little warped from blending very hot soup. I was horrified by the quality of this piece of trash, it fits worse than the one I was hoping to replace and it uses the cheapest quality plastic I could imagine. If it didn't cost so much to ship it back I would return it.

THis jar lid was cheap, thin plastic. I have the old jar lid, but it, of course, does not fit my new bottom, so I had to buy a new one. The old one is this heavy rubber/plastic. The new one is a very cheap, thin piece of garbage.

I agree with other reviewers that this lid isn't quite up to par with the lid it's meant to replace -- it is made of rigid plastic (not the sort of malleable kind the original lid was made of), so the fit isn't perfect on the top. I have to rotate the lid to get the best fit (only one arrangement of the corners fits well enough to provide a good seal), but honestly I don't really care. A few weeks after that fiasco, I helped transition an elderly family member into nursing care. Part of that process was, of course, going through old boxes and deciding what to keep, donate, throw away. In one box I found an Oster blender that's by my best guess about 15 years old and hadn't been used in ages. The blade was rusty and unusable, and the lid stunk like mildew. Otherwise, however, the blender seemed fine, so I decided to keep it and see what happened. That's why I bought this replacement lid. And I've got to say, this old blender is awesome! I can definitely tell that "they just don't make them like they used to." It works better than the TWO brand-new ones that failed, and I've been using it every day for over a month now. I have absolutely no confidence that any small appliance I buy in a reasonable price range these days will last 15 years and keep trucking, so I repeat my frustration with modern seemingly cheaply-made plastic garbage that I've vented about in other reviews. But this seller and this product here made it possible for me to resurrect this old blender, eliminating the frustration of trying to find a new blender. The new blender that I bought and returned was over $40. This lid was, with shipping, like $8. I spent about $10 on a replacement blade as well, so for half the cost of a new blender I have a solid, reliable blender that's also a hand-me-down from my family member whom I think about every time I use it. This has been "win-win" for me, which was only possible due to this product and seller.

I still use my grandma's old Osterizer blender from the 1950's and it a great blender. I had to get a new lid because I broke the original carafe and they only sell a slightly larger replacement carafe. This lid works fine but it is made of light plastic rather than heavy rubber. Gone are the days of turning the blender on without holding the lid on with my hand! I now have to hold the lid on so it doesn't fly off when I turn on the blender. It is no big deal, obviously, but it is something to know before you purchase the replacement lid.

This product did work for the purpose it was made for. I would not say that it is as good as the original though. The black top is made of a harder plastic and just doesn't seal as good as the original. Also the original clear center cap comes with markings for measurement. The new one in this set does not come with any markings. Still worth purchasing, they do work.
