I got the new Blackberry Curve and my old Plantronics 510 was working fine until it crashed. So I thought I would try a different headset. The HS 655 looked more compact and the description seemed OK. I like it and I don't. The connection time is faster for calls and it is certainly smaller and lighter.

It does seem to fit comfortably in the ear and can be worn for exteneded periods of time with little to no discomfort. The choice of three different ear pieces is also nice. It is nice that the headset and handset both have the USB ports for charging.

The clarity for calls is slightly better but not always. The connecting button on the headset and volume controls are easy to use.

Bad news: While in the car or outside and background noise or wind makes it very difficult to hear on both ends of the call. The volume is not as good as the Plantronic which is probably the most disappointing.
The ear hook and ear piece some off quite easily if put in a pocket or left laying around. Maybe that is just me though.

All in all, I would buy the Plantronic again, but not this one.

I purchased the Blackberry headset after my Jawbone kept falling off my ear. The fit is excellent, and you can wear this for hours and forget it is there. The sound quality is average, but just as good as most other headsets I have tried. (The Jawbone is in a league of its own on sound quality.) The shirt clip is an excellent idea, but the ear buds (and ear loop) fall off easily, which can ruin your day. My problem is the battery life: I have my headset on for 8 hours/day, and use it for business. The battery rarely last the full day, and I fully charge it every night. This is a great headset for an occasional cell phone talker, but not for all-day use.

Mine didn't come with instructions, but that was easy to rectify with a web search. Love the universal mini-usb charger. Clear sound with adequate volume. Best part of the headset is that it is light and comfortable to wear, i forget that it's there. Much better than my old Motorola unit.

I bought one of these for my wife and one for me. I thought it would be great since it had a carrying case. With the case I thought there would be less likelyhood of misplacing the bluetooth. The problem is the way it fits into the carrying case, you really can't clip it on your belt or the edge of your pants without causing the earpiece to come loose and fall off along with the ear hook. Consequently you end of having to stick not only the carrying case but also the bluetooth in your pocket so you don't lose it. However when you carry it in yor pocket, the earpiece and ear loop will also work loose causing you to have to quickly snap it back together so you can take a phone call. It's nice that you can switch out earpiece sizes but it comes apart way too easy. The sound quality when listening to other people isn't good. It makes their voices sound distorted when compared to less expensive earpieces. The battery doesn't last long either. I'm not on the phone all day, maybe 2 hours on a long day but I have yet to get through an entire day without needing to recharge it. On the upside, it charges on a mini usb charger so it uses the same charger as my phone and the blue tooth unit is extremely small. My wife who says I am hard on things like phones and earpieces says hers works just fine for her. I plan on returning mine, she plans on keeping hers. This is the first bluetooth she has used on a consistant basis and likes the fact that she can have it on and listen to her media player on her phone while she is working, whereas I have owned several earpieces and I am more concerned about overall functionality. I am getting a Blueant Z9i and will let you know how that one works out.

This is the perfect Bluetooth headset. I was pleasantly surprised by how strongly and clearly the sound comes through, by how perfectly small and unobtrusive the earpiece is, and by how easily the connection button works. This is so much smaller than it looks - not quite two inches. With the case on it is about 3 and 1/2 inches.

I have had a lot of difficulty finding the right Bluetooth device. I like the device to have a nice clear sound, to be easily charged (less than 12 hours please), to not need to be charged after every phone call, and for the button to answer calls to work EVERY time, not just when it feels like it. I have finally found the right device.

I did try all the others - at least it felt like I did. This one had great sound but was too big (huge) and needed to be charged every ten seconds:[...] This one was a clunker in the ear and always sounded like the call was coming through a mile long tunnel[...]

I also like its case. When the phone rings and the earpiece is in the case, it vibrates - not like a pack of wild bees in my pocket, but kind of a gentle buzz. Very nice special effect.

This unit comes with three different earpieces to help fit most ears - everyone out there with significantly smaller ears (those that have trouble with standard iPod earbuds) might find the smallest earpiece a little larger than they would like. When the unit is in its psuedo-case, it vibrates, which is fun, if nothing else for the casual Bluetooth user. Knowing what I know now, I would buy this again because it's clear and powerful enough for casual use (<15 feet away).

I haven't always been pleased with the sound clarity of my different bluetooth devices...but this one has been great.

It works properly with my BlackBerry, has a nice design and is comfortable. However strange noises and interferences can be hear ... The user guide is not useful at all, it does not explain the meaning of the LED light colors, what is the meaning of red or blue or purple ... IT NEEDS A 24-HOUR CHARGE FOR THE FIRST TIME, you can't find it in the user guide.

This is probably the best earpiece that I've purchased. The earpiece fits well in the ear and has a loop. Convienent that it can charge on a regular mini-usb so you can use your computer, laptop, ac adaptor or a car charger. Only complaint is that the ear piece and loop sometimes come undone easily. Good quality and definitely worth the price.
