While the image they use for this ad shows a real Blackberry Battery, what you actually get is something different. You get a battery with a sticker wrapped around it. The life on this battery is actually worse than my 1.5 year old used original battery. I dont know if what I got was a fluke, but I guess you get what you pay for. In this case a really poor excuse for a replacement battery.

Terrible purchase. The battery is NOT new. My phone will indicate that the battery is charged and suddenly the battery dies out, it doesnt even let me know i have a low battery.

This battery lasts about 1/5 as long as the original battery that came with my Bold, which already did not even last a full day of work if used moderately. If the phone is used at all, this allegedly brand new battery cannot even last 2 hours. Extremely disappointed after reading the reviews on here and trying to make the right purchase

The picture shows a blackberry brand battery, and unlike the other review on here, that is what I got. However, the battery still does not last a full day with moderate use. Maybe it's just this model of the balckberry that pulls too much on the battery power, but this is just not going to work for me.

Update: 11/3/2010 - After posting the negative review above, the OEM Shop reached out to me immediately to let me know that they are committed to a high level of customer satisfaction, and would gladly replace the battery or refund my money, but that they just want to ensure that I am a happy customer...so I am happy to report that I now am quite a happy customer! The replacement battery that they sent me was in fact a blackberry brand battery, and after charging it once, I am happy to report that it has only gone down one bar after after a full night getting and sending emails, a 30 minute conversation, and some application use (facebook, foursquare, etc.). I am very happy and would definitely buy from OEM stop again!

These are not new batteries. No where in the listing does it say that these are used batteries, nor do they say they were used either. Looks like they were taken out of existing units (maybe that were refurbed). The battery I got holds the charge about as well as the one that it was suppose to replace. Meaning it has to get charged every night. There are better and cheaper options for NEW batteries online. Didn't think Amazon would screw me over, but they did.

I don't see it anywhere that says this is a used product but it looks and performs like an old battery. It is definitely used. I'm very disappointed.

the price is right, the battery seems to be a fraction of an inch too thick because the back tends to protrude at times. it works fine, however.

I ordered a couple of batteries from this company for my Blackberry. My battery was getting very weak and I assumed a quick delivery. After a week I hadn't received anything. Their tracking didn't give me any detail. Finally Amazon intervened and said they had cancelled payment. Finally OEM contacted me and said they were out of product but were expecting more soon. This was two weeks after my order.
Most, if not all, mail order companies will immediately tell you if an item is out of stock and ask you if you want to wait or cancel the order. This didn't happen here and I'll never do business with them again. To add to my stress I was in the process of accepting a new job offer and it was all conducted on my cell phone with a weak battery. Jeez, I should have paid more at a local shop like Best Buy and got it when I needed it!

Well - this seller sends out the product very quickly and responds to emails and request timely. I purchased this battery and it died within 60 days. I sent an email to the seller asking if I received a used battery and the response was "We don't sell used batteries - how can we help you?"

I was a little put out by the response email - even though this battery was not that expense - it should not die within 50 days. I will purchase from the retailers here locally so that I can address issues if they arrive.

The battery I received could have just been defecive since all they sell are new items - so I am not suggesting that all the blackberry batteries are bad from this seller - just that my experience was different and the product had a very short life.

I ordered this battery directly from Amazon for $22.25. First one I received was an aftermarket knock-off, as was the replacement I received in exchange. This is what to look for:

* If you know how to get into the Engineering screen and show the battery temperature (or use an app like Tiny Meter), you'll notice the temperature on the fake ones doesn't move more than 1 degree up or down (24C/25C), regardless of ambient temp, usage, etc.

* These batteries do not have the same fit as the originals (they are very close, but sit just a tad loose in the battery compartment)

* French and German language on the battery is missing accents/umlauts

* The 1st and 2nd row of characters making up the lot code in the lower left corner are unevenly spaced (just compare with the printing on the original battery that came with your phone and you'll spot the difference right away)

In Amazon's defense, this is the first time they sold me a counterfeit product and I'm sure they are not aware (I did tell a customer service rep over the phone today, but I'm not holding my breath they will do anything about it). If you want a genuine M-S1 manufactured by RIM, better look elsewhere...
