This holster was what I needed. The leather is high-quality and it looks nice. The magnet turns off the blackberry curve when it's in the holster. Swivel capability is welcome.

All was fine for a few weeks, but then the clip broke away from the rest of the holster. I have been using an old belt holster (for 7xxx series blackberry) since then, but now it's falling apart. I will probably order another one of these and hope for the best. I think the problem is when the holster is vertical and placed near a front pocket, there can be stress on the plastic that connects the clip to the body of the holster. Perhaps keeping it horizontal might help.

Update - 1/30/09. I bought a new one and it broke also after about 5 weeks of gentle use. I kept the phone horizontal this time but it did not help. The plastic swivel joint broke in exactly the same place as the previous one. Bottom line - I can't recommend this one unless you never plan to sit down.

This item looks very good, but the clip attaches to the leather holster with a cheap plastic button that broke less than a week after I started wearing. I would not buy this again.

I've had this holster for less than a month and the swivel clip broke off of it already. I bought this to replace the generic holster I bought from Wal-Mart, which has lasted well over two years by the way.

I really like how this items looks and functions, but I can't recommend it to anyone because of the swivel clip.

This hoster replaces an identical one that recently broke after more than 18 months of use. I found this item for sale at such brick and mortar stores as Best Buys for $29.99, on line for at best $18.49. This was by far the best bargain around. My only (minor) complaint was that the top seam of the lining began to come loose after about 1 week, but appears to be holding up well thereafter. This is an insignificant flaw/defect that in now way impacts usability. I prefer the magnetic flip top closure to other 3rd party products. The leather looks (and smells!) great. The elastic sides hold up well and keep my Crackberry snug as a bug. The rotating belt clip allows you to wear your phone vertically or horizontally. Product was packaged well and delivered quickly. My only real disappointment was that I didn't buy 2!

This is the only cell phone holster that I use. I had bought others but this works BEST. It is a steal for the price and you are wrong for not getting it. This is a original Blackberry product, trying paying the price you pay here at the cell phone store...not going to happen.

It is cheaper than what you get from blackberry but the quality is inferior too. It is too tight and every time I put my BB curve inside; it dials a number.

This holster works as promised however when the phone is removed it is difficult not to press a button when handling the phone. So it's good for holding the phone on your belt but not as practicle as it seems.

I am extremely partial to top-loading holsters for my phone. This holster is handsome, convenient and protective. BUT I wish the belt clip portion was made of something other than brittle plastic. I tend to go through about four of these in a year and they always break at the belt clip- a little plastic rivet pops. Be gentle with it, take it off before you sit down into the seat of a car and it will last a long while. Otherwise, have a backup handy!

Though it has a good finishing and quality leather, the swivel clip was too fragile, a little stress on the vertical position broke the clip.

This holster has held up well for a couple of months. However it did scratch the screen on my 3 month old curve. I now place the phone in with the screen towards the clip and the backside is now scratched. There must be something near the magnet? I can't feel anything sharp.
