I have sincere doubts that this item is OEM, original equipment manufacture. The case cover does not fit correctly as the thermoformed plastic I received is incorrectly curved, and will surely let foreign dirt penetrate the case in the future, thus compromising the device electronics. Within five days of use, the silver plating started coming off the trackball unit. The buttons themselves are of no other that I have seen in registered retail Blackberry outlets. The product shipped came in a box,with the logo, "money clipper, genuine leather, #901e." Shipping took two weeks. It is my firm opinion that this product is an off-shore knock off, and definitely not an original RIM Blackberry part. I resent being mislead by the company's advertisement posted on Amazon.

Having reviewed this item as 3 star, because it needed 2 torx drivers and only 1 was provided, I would now rate the sellers customer service as 5 star. Having seen my prior review, the seller immediately contacted me offering to send me the missing torx driver and stating that the driver would be included with future orders.

Everything was as advertised. The order was received in time and in good condition.

the Blackberry faceplate fits perfectly. My 8310 looks like new again! I'm really thrilled. You may have to look online to figure out how to disassemble your device though. And remember to wipe off the faceplate before reassembling it, or better yet, don't put finger prints on it all because after it's put back together, there's no way to wipe them off unless you take it apart again.
The only reason why I didn't rate it 5 stars is because the kit came with no instructions, other than that it's PERFECT!!!

This was what I needed to give my Blackberry Curve 8310 a facelift. After having multiple scratches on the front, I decided it was time to do something about it. I refused to get a new phone just because the faceplate was beat up. I wish it would have come with some instructions, but I figured it out with a little time and a lot of patience. If you're not a handy person, I would suggest asking someone to put it together because it is a little difficult to snap it on there.

I didn't pay attention to the other reviews and have to agree that the tool set is incomplete. The 8320 Blackberry at least has two different sizes of screws and the screw driver provided can only be used for the smaller ones.

However I give it a 3 because the main part of the faceplate (without the keyboard portion) can be changed since it only requires the smaller screws to be removed. I could also use the track ball and change it. It works fine.

The items were as described. Kit came with all correct tools.
Used the YouTube video for disassembly and reassembly instructions.
Unfortunately cover does not fit correctly. When installed faceplate binds keyboard which prevents some keys from working.
Phone was an inexpensive stopgap until able to upgrade. Keep the cover loose and solved problem.

We tried to install the face plate but then realised that the screw driver that was included was not the correct size. It was too big to fit the screw. We were able to borrow a screw driver but after we install the face plate it did not fit properly. It was bulging near the top of the phone. We had to remove it and re-fit the phone with the old face plate. The trackball was okay though. I am not satisfied with the face plate it didn't fit.
