Pretty Little Phone,

This review is from: BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Phone, Ruby (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
I really like this phone. I have never used a blackberry before, but love how small this one is. It takes pretty nice pictures. It has an MP3 player, and the speakers sound really nice. It has really great sound for such a little phone. The only thing I can complain about the media player is that it only plays one song at a time unless you select play all but it always plays the first song at the top of the list first. But I really like that I can use my own Mp3's as my ringtones. Okay, well I guess I can complain about something else, sometimes its a little slow between applications. But the internet runs pretty good for a phone. I have yahoo messenger on it and also set up my yahoo and google email addresses on it. I like how all of my new messages, text messages, picture mails, emails and everything end up in the same folder. It makes retreiving a new message a breeze.

T-Mobile Customer Service is Terrible!!,
By
This review is from: BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Phone, Ruby (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
T-Mobile customer service is terrible. I have 3 Blackberry Pearls currently for my family all with T-Mobile. After only 5 months of use, the silver ring which holds the pearl in is falling out on the phones. T-Mobile refuses to repair or replace the phones as they say this must be damage. The phones have been taken care or meticulously and there isn't any sign of dropping or damage on any of these. The functionality of the Blackberry is good, but go get cell service from Verizon and don't touch T-Mobile.

Simply the Best!,
This review is from: BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Phone, Ruby (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
This phone rocks!T-mobile's software package, plans, rates, and customer service are the best I've experienced anywhere. Blackberry and T-mobile combined are the only way to go. Don't think about it anymore, just buy it!

Great Product ! This was the first blackberry device that I owned. I was very happy with it. Now, it's almost 2.5 years since I bought this. I am planning to upgrade to a new phone, but unable to find such a sleek phone (with all the features).

I had my first blackberry pearl 8100 for 2 years before my bird got ahold of it and destroyed the keyboard (i bought a new one online and installed myself, but the trackball kept falling out because once the ring pops out you can never get it to stay in again).... aside from all that, i think most phones are designed only to last 1 year so that you have to keep resigning a contract for a new one- so therefore given that this lasted 2 years it's a great phone-My FAVORITE feature: i love that i can see my next two appointments on the screen without having to go into my calendar. Least favorite feature: it can be difficult to navigate (it took me a long time to figure out how to change the ringtone) and it takes a lot of getting used to- you may not like it at first but after awhile you'll discover why it's referred to as the "crackberry".... i can't give mine up- not even for a touchscreen phone Oh and to the person who hates t-mobile- i've been with them since they were Voicestream and have never ever had a problem with customer service- which is a lot more than i can say for verizon (the WORST company EVER!)... and i only pay $60 a month for unlimited minutes.

P.O.S.,

This review is from: BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Phone, Ruby (T-Mobile) (Wireless Phone)
The pearl is one of the, if not the worst, cell phones I have owned in 10 years.Within the first few months: -the trackball was working inconsistently -the red call-end/power button functioned only half the time -the headphone jack stopped working consistently. It takes 10 seconds for the phone to recognize that a headset is plugged it, which sucks when you're in the middle of a call. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. What a P.O.S! The only pro about this phone is that the calendar and contacts sync with my Mac OS. To add insult to injury, T Mobile customer service sucks 8@!!5. They only get good reviews because they sound cheerful on the phone and act like they care. God forbid you experience a real problem--half of them don't know their a55 from their elbow. Tech support takes hours. Literlly! And tech support rarely helps (because of the a55/elbow thing). I thought I hated Cingular/AT&T customer service until I switched to T Mobile. At least at Cingular they don't put on a compassionate facade then dispense crappy service, they just cut straight to the crappy service.
