Well my Blackberry Pearl 8110 that I have had for 5 months is going in the garbage. The constant rebooting during phone calls has become intolerable over the last 3 weeks. When I inquired I was told that it is "outdated" but upgrading to a new Blackberry bold would solve the problem. (Sounds like a marketing ploy but I have no choice) My local store that carries these took my name. I had to go on a waitng list for the next shipments of phones due to the amount of Blackberry Pearl 8110 people have replaced over the last month, they sell the upgraded phone as fast as they get them in.
If you choose to purchase, print out these steps and memorize them, you will be doing this during all the random reboots that occur several times a day. If you think it won't happen to you, at work I immediately found several people who were getting rid of this phone, and several who were forced to get rid of it and replace it at their own cost due to this problem over the last week.
This will be your life with this phone:
Anywhere from 5-10 minutes into a phone call, it will reboot for 5 minutes, works for two minutes then turns off and reboots again. Then about the 4th cycle, it doesn't come back on, the red light flashes except it is otherwise dead. Take the battery out put it back in and it will come on and reboot for another 5 minutes. Maybe you can talk for 5 minutes and the next reboot begins, your call is dropped, it has a red flashing light and dead phone, take the battery out and put it back in and watch the dead phone flash the red light (they only thing that works) for better than 5 minutes until it comes on and reboots again. Today it did this for 35 minutes where I was unable to use it for the entire 35 minutes. For someone who travels in by myself, I can't have a phone that talks to the mothership more than me. It has definitely gotten worse over the last 3 weeks. Sometimes it will work OK for a couple of hours but it is unpredictable. It otherwise works great. I even turned the data off before I make a call and turn it off and on thinking it will be happy and work for more than 10 minutes.
WRONG! I do not have the time to spend a day making phone calls and replacing this phone and neither did anyone else I found when we compared notes.

i have been using this phone for the past 4 months in south africa, and it works perfect on our networks. the gps, graphic and internet capabilities are brilliant to say the least. the only problem is when you are changing the SIM Card, the slot tends to be too tight hence taking out your SIM Card can be a mission otherwise i give it a thumbs up!

i did my first blind electronic purchase with this blackberry and i cannot complain at all. mobile came with usb cable, and charger. i really wasn't expecting to get the blackberry the way it came. it's really beautiful and i already used it with different numbers in usa and europe.

The product was categorised as 'new' but on receipt I discovered it is 'refurbished'. This was disappointing.

I felt cheated.

This Blackberry was purchase as a gift.
It was sent to a family friend in Brazil.
Immediately they discovered that it was defective.
They contacted someone in Brazil and was informed that since it was not purchased in Brazil it was not warrentied.
If I have them return the item to me, can it be repaired in the US?

It is now August 26th, I ordered my phone on August 21st and paid the $30 one day shipping fee to receive the phone on the 24th. The delivery date was supposed to be August 24th or 25th. I still haven't received the phone. I've tried to contact the seller twice and haven't received a response except for an auto reply. I want my phone and my $30 back.

Don't buy from this user. Brought 2 BlackBerry Pearl 8110 Unlocked Phones from this dealer as a gift for my parents in India. When I got it here and switched on, it started with full battery showing At&T sign in the home screen. Since I didn't have non AT&T sim, I couldn't verify 'unlocked' phone. parents received phone in India, found phone not unlocked, battery not good, confirmed used battery by a phone dealer. We can't now bring back the phone for a refund, not return worth shipping charges and for the time. We had to do a software flashing and buy another battery for this cell to use it. My first horrible experience from amazon.

The equipment purchased for its prestigious website came out bad, the phone switches itself off, battery charge and does not grasp here in my country I was notified that it has no basis because the microprocessor is damaged, it would appreciate in advance if I puedebn help something .-

Very disapointed with the phone. It was obvious the guts of the phone were refurbished, but the outside casing was new. However the back would not stay on. The box was used, relabeled, and did not go with that model of phone. I sent back immediately!!!

I bought this Blackberry phone and gave a gift to my friend abroad.I bought this phone as unlocked, but somehow Bluetooth is not working and not able to pair any devices.
Also, the slot for memory card is not functional...I recommend not to buy.
