I had this stock put a Remmington 700, I also had to convert the gun to a BDL through a kit I purchased at Brownells.

I put this on a 308 cal for my son. It will definitely help to reduce recoil partly due to the weight of the stock itself. There is a spring in the [...] of the stock that absorbs recoil.

This is a quality product with a rubberized feel giving you a sure grip.

I would recommend this product.
