If you are female and specifically want the better female fit, this is the strap to choose if you have heavy cameras and/or lenses. I tried a male friend's Sport 2 strap for 5 days and very much appreciated the almost weightless feel of my 7D coupled with a 400mm lens. Wow. The advantage of the Black Rapid straps is greater for the heavy lenses than for the shorter ones. However, as a woman, this Kick strap is even better, with the perfect fit across the chest and less awkward control over the strap length. Thank you to Black Rapid for designing a strap for serious female photographers who would not be well-served by the light-duty Elle strap.

My wife is the photographer in the family. Most of the pictures I take are from some mobile device, but my wife cherishes her Canon T3i and her many heavy, expensive lenses. Sadly, she has neck problems resulting from a car accident back in 1999, so I wanted to get her a more ergonomic strap, but I had to be able to use it myself for those times when I feel creative or she is just tired of carrying the camera. She is a dainty 5'3" woman who wears a women's size medium shirt and I am 6' and wear a men's XXXXL Tall, just to give you an idea of how much flexibility we needed from the system. As she is the one with the DSLR 90% of the time, her comfort was paramount, but the "Elle" strap (the other model from BlackRapid that is designed to navigate a woman's anatomy) would not adjust to be long enough for me and is not compatible with the "Bert" extension piece. Thankfully this model, knows as the "Kick", is still designed for a woman, but will accept the Bert extension piece, so it will fit me as well. With the Bert installed, there is MORE than enough room. I could happily use this strap with the Bert being 1/3 the length that it is, but it certainly doesn't hurt or get in the way having more room, especially if I wind up using the strap over a heavy winter coat, etc.

The system is very solid and secure and I have complete faith in it.

We use this strap to carry our Canon T3i with lenses up to the 200-400mm f/4L and the Manfrotto quick release plates, in conjunction with the following additional BlackRapid items:

- BlackRapid RMA-30B Bert (Black)
- BlackRapid RFH-1E0 Fastenr Tripod (FR-T1) (Black)
- BlackRapid RAA1C-1AO Tether Kit (Black)

I plan on adding the Brad, Buck and the Lockstar accessories as well, just for a little added peace of mind when in very active, crowded places such as amusement parks.

I have trouble with my neck and back when I hike with my camera. It has a long, heavy lens. I wanted a camera harness, but was unable to find a good one that would fit me (I'm short). I bought the BlackRapid Women's Camera Strap and the Brad and they are great. I have used them all winter and they adjust big enough to use with my bulky winter jacket. No more neck pain.

I like it, but it took some getting used to as I used to carry my camera on my other hip. This only allows for the strap to cross the body from left shoulder to right hip (unless I am missing something). You might also note that the Black Rapid Strap is not really compatible with cameras that have a arca-swiss type tripod plate attached. You have to use one or the other unless you want to invest $150 in the correct attachment. It'll work with Manfrotto, but you again need to pay for a different type screw ($20).

I love this strap. I can't imagine a higher quality camera strap. Sometimes I like to take pictures of the city while I'm out and about for other reasons other than photography, and I don't want to carry a bunch of equipment. Or I'm going for a walk somewhere scenic, etc. This strap is so comfortable and hands-free, I can carry around my DSLR absolutely anywhere, and I don't have to have it around my neck or dig it out of a bag when I want it. I've had the $10 knock-off version of this strap and there is simply NO comparison.
I was recently in the mountains of Boulder, CO and at Mt. Rainier, and I kinda felt bad for folks lugging their cameras with neck straps. The added weight and the need to hold the camera still while walking on rough terrain looked very unpleasant. Plus they were sweating all over their neck straps. Eeewwwwww.
My only complaint is that there is intentionally a clasp to open it and add attachments, but since this is on the back, I feel like a clever theif could possibly undo it. Maybe not likely in the U.S., but in places with pickpocket issues (e.g. Brazil currently) maybe. Keep that in mind if you travel. They have straps that do not have this feature that are otherwise pretty much the same. I bought the largest add-on pocket, I think it was called Bryce, and found that it made the strap less comfortable. It was weird having a bulky attachment which put weight on the strap. It ended up not being big enough for my phone anyway, and I don't use it. If I had to choose again, I wouldn't get this feature.
I don't like how it takes up the tripod mount, but from what I can tell, all shoulder straps do this.

This is not just about the camera strap—which I love—but also about the exceptional service I received from Black Rapid. When I damaged the strap, I emailed them directly about the possibility of repair. Their response well exceeded my expectation and I was back in business in a week. Amazing.

The strap itself is extremely comfortable and is flexible enough to work for both the very short, quite tall, and all of us in between. The strap can securely handle a significantly heavier load than I put on it, but that's not why I bought it. I love that—with an accessory or two—I don't need to lug a camera bag EVERYWHERE I go and the sling style lets me handle the camera one-handed. The bumpers limit the camera's motion on the strap, adding security. Best of all, I am not literally hanging a weight around my neck, so there is less fatigue. Because the strap is designed for women, everything sits comfortably on my body—once the strap length is set, you won't find yourself adjusting the strap continuously to maintain comfort. My only regret is not having bought one sooner.

If I could give this product 10 stars, I would. It's that good. Super comfortable. My only regret is that I waited years before deciding to give up my Nikon strap and look for something better. Now I can walk around confidently with my camera (either a DSLR with a long lens, or a smaller, mirrorless camera) and never have to worry about the strap falling off my shoulder or digging into my neck. I really consider this a must-have piece of equipment for any serious photographer. I also highly recommend getting the Brad strap that attaches to this and goes under your arm. With the Brad attached, the camera strap won't slide off your opposite shoulder. It just makes the whole thing more secure.

I thought that the BlackRapid Kick strap was well made and comfortable to wear. It most definitely made it easy for me to lift my camera into position to take photos. What I didn't like was how much my camera swung around when I was walking, no matter where I positioned the two locking bumpers and no matter how much I shortened or lengthened the strap. The only way to stop my camera from swinging when I was moving was to keep my right hand on it at all times. This was a deal breaker for me, so I returned the strap.

This strap is a better fit for me than others I have tried. At first I was afraid to purchase one with a screw connector but I am satisfied that it is sturdy enough for rigorous use.

This useful little gadget is my new favorite photo toy and has enhanced my shooting experience considerably! It fits diagonally across the body and allows my camera to sit comfortably at my hip. It's very comfortable, thanks to it's specialized design. The locking slides hold my camera snuggly in place, and are easily snapped open and moved when I need quick access to my camera. I keep a lens hood attached to the front of my lens and allow the camera to go into the sleep mode. When I need to take a quick shot of a moving object (like wildlife or a quick moving 2 yr old, for example), I simply unhook the snap and slide my camera up and take the shot. Simple. No fuss, no muss. Just beautiful photos. Haven't missed many shots since buying this awesome strap, and have since highly recommend BlackRapid to friends and family. Even bought my very picky (or, umm, particular) photographer-husband a BlackRapid strap for one of his cameras. He Loves It!
