This is a wacky, fun and spirited book that has just enough history in it to get kids asking questions! I sat down to read it to my 6 year old niece, and even my preteen cynical 11 year old niece was drawn in, soon explaining her fourth grade knowledge of history to her sisters! I love H.G and am hopeful for more books from this new writer!

It was a treasured time sharing this story with my son. We enjoyed the tale together and imagined the adventure as it unfolded.

I bought this for my eight year old son. He put it in his discman as he was laying down to sleep. When he woke up in the morning, the first thing he did was listen to the rest of the story. He truly loved it. He said it was funny and exciting. His eyes glowed as he recounted the entire story to me, scene by scene. I strongly recommend this.

Both my kids absolutely loved this story. We took it with us on a road trip, and it's the only thing they wanted to listen to. The story is extremely creative, and the narration delightful. Excellent!!

This original time-travel tale for children is brought to life by animated narration and perfectly-timed sound effects. Adults will enjoy this audio book as well. Children will say, "Let's hear it again!"

My nephew and niece cannot get enough of this great story. It's entertaining from beginning to end, and they love to hear it over and over. This will be passed along to my 16 month son very soon as well.

Originally, I got this for my 8 yr old son. Turns out my 6 yr old daughter loves it too! Now, many times my kids listen to it together. Doesn't matter where - in the car, at home. They just love the story. I've even seen them role playing a few times. I swear they know all the words. The narrator does a great job of changing his voice so you can easily follow along and know which character is speaking. The sound effects are a nice touch too. Other audio books we've bought don't have them. Hope to see more of these.

Great and very entertaining story! We had friends over from the UK with 2 children 4 and 8. Both loved the story and adventures so much that they took it back home. Secretly we adults enjoyed the combination of time travel and pirat adventures also very much. Both thumps up! Highly recommendable!

All three of my kids (8, 6 and 3) love this story! We listened to it on a road trip over and over and over and over. Highly recommend it. The kids still can't get enough of it...they listen to it in their rooms now.

The premise behind the story is pretty funny. Basically, H.G. and Agatha don't know how to fly the time machine. That leads to a series of mishaps, such as overshooting the year 1718 by tens of millions of years, only to end up face-to-face with a T rex. When they do reach their destination, H.G. actually lands the time machine on Blackbeard's foot. That really cracked up my son. The narrator is great. He uses different voices to help distinguish between the characters. The sound effects are awesome. They really bring the action front and center.
