I wanted extra AC adapters for my Fire but really dislike the short cord of the standard charger. However, the Fire wants power and few after-market products supply the 1.8A the Fire requires. I tried a computer USB port, cell phones charger, and Kindle 2 AC adapter... none even make a dent. No charge at all. So I took a chance on this product -- works great. Charged from 70% to 94% in 30 minutes. It has the power needed. Nice product as well. Well constructed and a bonus that the blades fold for travel.
Even better... costs less and this one has a six-foot cord. Recommended for Kindle Fire owners. I just ordered 2 more, in fact, since it works for my cell phone as well (also uses a micro-usb port).

This charger is a lot more portable than the standard playbook charger but it does so at a cost. This charger's output is only 1.8A as opposed to the original's 2A. Not that big of a deal for blackberry phones since it still charges the phone quite rapidly. Slightly noticeable delay in charging the playbook though.

this is for the blackberry playbook and because of that it is a bit stronger than normal. you can use it with any micro USB port cell phone to charge it. it charges phones faster than normal and is not only for blackberry phones. highly recommend this, a must buy.

Just what I needed
The charger supplied with the BB10 is rated at 750ma, if you charge your unit over night it does the job, however, if you want a faster charger, this is your unit.

Only one that works!
After trying 3 other chargers (dock, higher amp wall plug) this is the ONLY thing that will. Harge my playbook.nothing else is strong enough. Even quick charges my cell.
