Charges the Playbook much quicker than the stock USB charger. Has a magnet in the charging plug that causes it to "grip" with the 3-pin charge port on the Playbook, so there nothing to insert or fiddle with; just get the plug near the port and they'll snap together on their own. Doesn't have the spring loaded pins of the charging pod, there's no problem with defects there. The unit uses an AC break away box, so it'll plug into any 3-prong power outlet (no need for extra space for a large box plug).

On the negative side, the charging plug itself is a bit larger/thicker than I thought it would be, about half an inch thick, so you'll need some clearance for it if you're using it with an angled case stand. Still, a very small complaint, and it's otherwise perfect.

I love it, sometimes the Playbook battery gets too low and I need a fast charge. Just a few minutes will charge it up enough to go for an hour longer.

This item is a must have for the playbook! It charges the playbook in slightly over an hour (the original charger takes 2 hours) It saves the micro usb port a lot of wear and tear. The best part is, the connector just snaps on to the playbook (similar to the macbooks) so you dont have to fumble around trying to connect it.
