Works great and just as described and pictured. A 3.5mm, right angle, 4 conductor, male plug to a 2.5mm female plug.

There are other adapters out there that are only 3 conductors instead of 4 like this adapter. The problem with them is that the phone doesn't detect you have the headset plugged in properly, and so you have to unplug the headset and plug it back in after you start the phone call.

Spend the extra bucks and get this OEM Blackberry Branded adapter instead.

After a very frustrating time searching for an adapter for my LG Chocolate Touch, I found this. It fits, it works and there is no problem with hearing a call or a caller hearing me. I am able to plug in a regular, one ear headset that has a 2.5mm male connector.

Thought I'd fork out the extra dough for a Blackberry brand adapter for my Tour so that I could use previously purchased 2.5mm cell headsets and since I'd seen dodgy reviews about cheaper adapters.

Plugged it in and tried it out. The audio was quieter than a whisper with the phone volume on max. Unusable. The person on the other end seemed to be able to hear me fine.

Too bad.

My dad recently bought a second generation iPod Touch which supports a headset input so you can make VOIP calls over WiFi...unfortunately the only headsets available that work out of the box with the iPhone/iPod Touch are earbud style. I found a behind-the-neck stereo headset (Sennheiser MM30) but it has a 2.5mm connector (as opposed to the 3.5mm connector required) and on paper this adapter looked like it would work, but I was admittedly nervous.

Fast forward to today...just tested it out using Skype on "fring" (free app in the App Store) and it works PERFECTLY. Crystal clear on both ends for calls and great stereo quality sound when listening to music.

I can now use my old wired headset for long conference calls on Blackberry Curve: a better sound quality and infinitely longer battery life :) than in my bluetooth headset.

I bought a blackberry from metro pcs but do not like the cordless ear pieces. I tried all the 3.5 mm headsets and was extremely disappointed. I tried 3 other adapters for my old headset and none worked at all.
This one REALLY works, i am completely satisfied.

Adapter works very well with my Blackberry Curve 8900 and my existing headset. Plenty of volume (I can hear well and callers can hear my voice).

This adapter works great allowing me to use my one stereo headset for both my LG phone and my iPod. It goes from a 4-conductor 2.5 mm (3/32")female jack to a 4-conductor 3.5mm (1/8") male plug, which allows use with both standard headphones (without a mic) or headsets (with a mic). The male connector is angled so it relieves some of the stress on the iPod jack, and the cable is plenty long enough to allow me to tuck the jack safely out of the way. I highly recommend it.

Tested this with my new Plantronics M214C headset and my new Blackberry Curve 2. The person calling me can hear me, but I can barely hear them. Not gonna work.

I've bought 2 of these. They last through about a year of daily use before crapping out. Not a bad lifespan, in my opinion.
