I own 1,100+ CDs and this one lands in my top 5!,

This is a must for almost any music fan looking for fun, fast & energetic yet sophisticated classic rock & roll/psyche-billy/punk/Elvis type masculine music! Just wait till they make a major breakthrough with their infectious meticulous musical genius! The four-piece band who come from Alabama, Minnesota, & Japan are all respectively top world-class in their instrumental expertise, yet so youthful and indescribably magic in chemistry. Just saw them live and was blown away--they are authentic musical performers whose live quality & musicianship is fairly well-captured in this CD. Corpse Show Creeps's balance of musical beauty, depth of talent, quality personality, & craft dedication is immaculate in my humble opinion. Contrary to their name I felt so much pure live energy somewhere in the top echelons of showmanship only calling themselves creeps because they aren't self-important!

I first had a chance to see the Corpse Show Creeps live at, what would come to be, the infamous Wausau, WI "Scott Street Steak and Pub" show which ended with the cops shutting the place down and all of us high tailing down to the road to another bar to see the performance.I saw them a second time a few weeks later after I moved to Fargo and was amazed to find them palying at a bar jsut a few blocks away from my new apartment. Sometimes life is strange! Anyway, this was one of the most energetic live shows I've seen in a long time and, I'm happy to say, that same energy can be found on this disk. If you're a fan of hard psychobilly, and quirky lyrics, this is the and for you! Keep and eye on these guys, I think that they're a rising force in the scene. Jumping on the band wagon with their first (and only, so far) release, ain't a bad place to start! |
